Haven't they already attempted this?
I stole DDR X2 CS from the internet; it's my fault the music game genre is dying.

According to U1, apparently DDR II doesn't (currently) have endless mode and club mode (from PS3).

What did those modes do again?

Better the unlock mode is easy and maybe like HP3, Just playing some songs and unlock new songs.

Simple. Roll Eyes

The Wii versions never had a club mode so it's not surprising it's not in here.

What was club mode? It wasn't on any of the PS2 versions, was it?

^^ No, the PS2 versions had the characters live a very cheesy life (DDR X's Street Master Mode) or play Russian Snakes n Ladders, you roll the dice and get a ridiculously hard challenge, if you pass that you either get a new song/costume or your save data goes corrupt (X2's Dice Master Mode).

The Wii ones had Circuit modes that play out like something (wii owners, a little help?) and later on only had Dance Points.

I meant club mode. Only DDR 2010 PS3 had it, AFAIK. Which was play to unlock, but only that mode counts. Unlike X2 CS NA/EU which allows unlocks by playing normally (or some prefer ENDLESS mode)

While PS2 games has some kind of mission modes akin to 4thMIX CS and EXTRA MIX CHALLENGE MODE...

(which in X was given a cheesy plot, just as you said)

^^ "coughs" What about the 360 version? Did anything else aside from the recording function got "dummied out" after the translation?

For better result, less licences (around 10 songs), some new Konami Original for DDR II (20 songs +) ,

more X2 ARC songs and old songs like Afronova , etc (30 songs + ).

Better Lesson Mode songs separated into DDR School Mode, not counted as main songs.

I second all of this.

AFAIK the 360 version is the same as the PS3 version minus the recording functon. even though I'm not finished unlocking the songs, however its a sure bet that the song list is exactly the same as the PS3.

The Wii ones had Circuit modes that play out like something (wii owners, a little help?) and later on only had Dance Points.

In HP 1 and 2, there was a Ciruit Groove thingy where you go stage by stage passing challenges such as "Get a 50 combo or higher on Difficult", etc, to unlock songs and and costumes.

HP3/MUSIC FIT used a DDR Tournament which was a not-quite story mode where you entered a tournament to challenge U.G., NAOKI, Dyna, Ceja, and Rena to DDR to be the very best like no one ever was.
-Or you could just unlock stuff playing the regular mode to get DDR points, but you'd be interrupted every 4 or so songs to play Roppongi EVOLVED.

HP4 went ahead and just had you gain DDR points to unlock stuff.

D: Is DDR 2011 using DDR points again? Sweet, I hope so. OTL

Before you unlocked the boss songs in the HP series, you would be interrupted every 3 songs in Free Play mode by a challenger to play a random locked boss song. The interruptions would only stop after every boss song was unlocked.

In HP1 and HP2, this would happen continuously because the only way to unlock boss songs was through Groove Circuit/Arena mode.
In HP3, if you beat the challenger's score, you would unlock the boss song, so after doing this three times, all the bosses would be unlocked, without going through Tournament mode.

I don't have HP4/Wii 2010 so I can't answer about that though.

HP4/DDR 2010 had "Challenges" that would it suggest you do and it was a specific song. If you played that song and met its challenge, you would usually get an unlock + a large number of points. You could unlock stuff just by playing the game over and over.

Actually they do remove some videos if the content is too strong or for budget/label reasons.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
They've got enough time left in the development process to take them out or re-edit them if the ESRB decides that the videos are too naughty. Heck, look what they did with "When I Grow Up"'s video.
