この子の七つのお祝いに (Konoko...) = Seven of These Children to Celebrate (um... help?)
この子の七つのお祝いに is "Seven cheers for this child". I gotta check Yozora no Mukou again...
Yozora no Mukou = Across the night sky
For この子の七つのお祝いに, that is a complicated one and there are a few interpretations.
One : It is a lyric in another traditional song Toorianse. That song is about being able to cross (the bridge) but never being able to return.
Two : Literally it means to celebrate a child's 7th birthday
Three : There is an old horror movie by the same name, in it...okay, I'll just quote it:
Quote
Okay, there is this movie about a child that has died before reaching the age of seven. On that same year was the most painful, miserable year for the child. And eventually died of all the trajic things that he survived from.
Her parents has promised her to give her a doll on her seventh birthday. They were a poor family, and this was one of the best. Before the day she died, she said she always wanted a doll.
So after that day, her parents started killing their other children when they reached their seventh birthday. They went out of controll, and every time before killing their child, they chanted..."Life is good. You can enjoy it peacefully without any agony or regrets...until the age of seven. Therefore I will end your life...to save you from the tragities that will happen to you that is even worse then death itself"
After killing seven children, their mother killes herself by cutting herself into seven parts... Right arm. Left arm. Right leg. Left leg. Right Ear. Left Ear. ... And finally her neck. Her husband that has lost everything retells everything to the doll that was supposed to be their lost child's seventh birthday present she never saw. It's kind of like a fiction documentary. And the whole story is fitted into this one song... This movie is called Konoko no Nanatsu no Oiwai ni.
But the mixture of sorrow, and fear...it is one movie that the audience calls a real life experience.
Well, I guess the kick to the movie is how the first dead child haunts her parents, and children as a roaming restless soul...
And haunts the dead as well in her world.

SUPER STAR wasn't in MAX US.
You are correct, it was in DDRMAX2, and used the ON THE JAZZ video there.
Trousers were added to the gun slinger in the OH NICK PLEASE NOT SO QUICK background.
Shiny Disco Balls in ULTRAMIX used a heavily edited FANTASY / LOCKOUT background.
The background for XANADU is a heavily edited version of the Last Thing On My Mind background in the rare re-release of the original Dancing Stage arcade.
...in that same release the background for Uh La La La is an edited DUB I DUB background, and It's Like That uses an edited GET UP 'N MOVE background.
There are three versions of GET UP 'N MOVE in DDR (2ndMIX, Solo BASS MIX, DDR X), each one uses a different verse from the full song.
The ending credits for ULTRAMIX show video footage of the sunken ships in Pearl Harbor.
In the ending credits for ULTRAMIX 2 you can hear a man in the background describing what a DanceDanceRevolution machine is and how the game is played.

I just noticed Novaspace is actually DDR related, besides being licensed in X2. The producer of Novaspace is Felix J. Gauder, best known for his works with E-ROTIC and Missing Heart. We've also had acts by David Brandes (current E-ROTIC producer) before, with Vanilla Ninja in the Ultramix series and Gitadora and SHANADOO in FuruFuruParty and jubeat.

In the American DDRMAX, the background videos for 22DUNK were originally used on LITTLE BOY in 7thMIX, the videos for SUPER STAR was from ON THE JAZZ in 6thMIX and the videos for Sandstorm from YOZORA NO MUKO in 6thMIX. Probably more but those are all I remember.
To add from AeronPeryton's post
GAMBOL uses the video for Drifting Away
LOGICAL DASH uses the video for THERE YOU'LL BE
5.1.1 and THE SHINING POLARIS uses the video of raining sorrow
Let's talk it over uses the MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE video
MY GENERATION uses the video of Abyss
Remember You uses the Look At Us video
OVERBLAST!! uses the NORI NORI NORI video
celebrate uses the LET'S GROOVE video
I'M FOR REAL and BABY BABY GIMME YOUR LOVE uses the IT'S RAINING MEN video
Take To The Morning Light (Extended Vocal) and PEACE-OUT uses the MIRACLE video from 6thMIX
Get me in your sight (AMD CANCUN MIX) uses the HIGHS OFF U video from 7thMIX AC
RHYTHM & POLICE (K.O.G G3 MIX) uses the TELEPHONE OPERATOR video
Stomp to my beat uses the FANTASY/LOCKOUT video
gental stress (SENSUAL MIX) uses the STAY video

Two, actually. Besides the obvious one, the word immediately afterward (nap) was also censored. Not sure why for that one, though.

Question. Has The Centre of the Heart (Stonebridge Club Mix) actually appeared in a Dancemania album? It uses the generic Dancemania CD Title in DDRMAX and I can't find the song in any of the albums.

IIRC, it never has. It was originally licensed before the Dancemania album it was set to appear on came out and it was cut out before the album was released.

Then in that case, DDRMAX is the first Japanese mix to feature a license outside Dancemania.

I just thought of a good one.
A rapper named Taj He Spitz, who I'm pretty sure is the same rapper who performed in the DDR song of the same name, is currently in jail awaiting murder charges.

Awaiting murder charges != Guilty of murder.
It's scary the ratio of convicted felons who turn out to be innocent.
-----
BOYS by Smile.dk is the only song featured in a location test that was cut from the final game yet later reappeared on a later mix (DDR loc. test -> 2ndMIX).
The transparent speaker covers of the new DDR X cabinets say "Stay Cool" when lit up.

Which is why Taj He Spitz most definitely DID NOT do any recordings for the more recent DKC Crew songs.
I remember looking up his myspace page in late 2008, at which point he was already behind bars...oh well.

The song was actually about the rapper himself. No wonder the chorus goes something like that.
