Updates I just posted to BMS's headline, they mostly come form Mieya's location test report:

-"Risky" mod is listed below "Screen Filter" in mod menu. Turning this on will give you only one battery life, like OMES.
-Surveys asks questions such as: How often do you play X? What is your Dance Drill level on X? What are you impressions of DDR X? What are your favorite songs on X? What do you think of X2's interface? What do you think of X2's songs? Which song do you want revived the most (you can only choose one)? What songs would you like to see added into the game?
-Version number: JDX:J:A:A:2009112401.
-Interface music is different than the one used in DDR X2 US CS.

Mieya has some interesting things he talked with the staff about

-When asked whether one would be able to convert SN2 cabs to X2, they said "It's being considered", a generic answer.
-When asked whether the game would be released in countries outside of Japan, they said "it's being considered", another generic answer.
-When asked when it was going to be released, the staff said they are planning on "next spring".
-Licensed music will, of course, be included.
-When asked whether there would be more location tests, the staff said "we'd like to" (in other words, yes).
