I like Better Off Alone, but that dismisses the idea of a greatest hits now doesn't it? In Party Collection the only "new" song was Wannabe,

I understand that. Infact, I completely expect a few new Ko's on this game, but to go through all the trouble to license two songs makes me wonder..

I don't think this will be the only DDR we should expect at E3, which would explain the licenses.

I hope DLC is NOT on the disc...*

*For those not in the know, the DDR Universe games (amongst other games) have the DLC ON THE DISC. The "DLC" is merely a line of code (approx. 108KB in size) that enables use of those songs. Some victims of this DLC 'scam' are Resident Evil 5, Beautiful Katamari, and Street FIghter IV.

Fixed

True Platinum Mix came from Festival. Happy I'm surprised we never got it, I always found True Platinum Mix to be the better of the 2 remixes.

If they do DLC, let's hope they do it how GH/RB does it...

...just send it through the networks Smile no need for putting the DLC on the disk really...

....i hope not >_>

i prefer on disc DLC. my hard drive is nearly full, i need to save all my room for GH/RB DLC, so if i can get it on the disc(my SFIV costumes) i'll take it. especially in a situation like SFIV where they were originally going to be full downloads but they couldnt get the netcode to support streaming the alt costumes for those that didnt have them without causing insane lag so they put it on the disc, it doesnt bother me. ofcourse, unlike some people, i'm not 13 and having to convince mommy to pay for my DLC, so i'm not as picky.

Hey, wait, what's wrong with Make A Difference? (Other than it being surprisingly difficult to PA [MA?].)
I really don't like the song itself; it's not my kind of music. From what I remember though, the chart was actually decent.
Play my game Arcana Seal of Rimsala (SNES)!

I'm trying to figure out what I said to lead everyone to assume that I thought DLC was going to be on disc. That doesn't even make sense, you wouldn't even call it DLC then. Maybe I should better explain my post.

Under the assumption that there will be one large DDR release for all major consoles this year instead of two, and that it will be (largly) a collage of the first ten years of DDR, perhaps the new licenses are being set up as downloadable content for the systems that support it. Meaning that new licenses could potentially be PS360 exclusives. Leaving the other systems to be content with append discs (huge assumption there as well) if they were to get them, later on down the road in the form of Vol. 2, Vol. 3, etc.

Europe gets Volume 1 right when America gets Volume 2, and the UK doesn't get anything because of some arbitrary licensing issue. Neutral

So far The Wii version of Volume 1 has been announced for Europe. While a mention of "other consoles" alludes to the rest. Then again, the last big DDR announcement included games Europe has yet to see on store shelves... or in arcades (Not that America is any better off in that department).

Sounds about right.

Also if Guitar Hero can handle Wii DLC almost perfectly for full length rock tracks (aside from song previews) I see no reason why Konami can't have downloadable songs for future Wii DDR games and allow you to stream the tracks directly off an SD card in-game.

That would make me so happy if they did this. The idea of a greatest hits game is amazing. I just feel like were getting jipped of alot of songs...
Think about it, right now were getting 1 game instead of 3 (I'm fine with that by the way) were getting 1/3 of the Amonut of songs were used to.
All I'm saying is that having more console DDR then this would be even better

I have a hunch here. DDR Vol. 1 comes out for those four consoles, and we get an arcade/PS2 or 3 version by itself, and later on, some other Wii-exclusive game and/or some XBOX 360 exclusive game.

Well of course not; X has yet to be released in North America and Europe. Annoyed

The absolute earliest we'll see a new AC is probably by Spring or Summer of 2010.
