Internet Ranking 3 Event.

The 3rd Internet Ranking on the Arcade Edition of DanceDanceRevolution X has begun. It is from June 11th to July 8th.

Once again, two courses are used for this event.

First, Ranking Course 5 consists of:

1. PARANOiA
2. Butterfly(2008 X-edit)
3. DUB-I-DUB(2008 X-edit)
4. Boys(2008 X-edit)

Ah, does anyone recognize these sequence of songs? You see, these were the first four game songs used in the first DDR NONSTOP MEGAMIX! This particular CD was a big hit when it was released, and we revived some of these songs so we could make this commemorative course!

I hope both veteran players and new players check this out!

Project #2. Let's Enjoy Furu Furu♪Lyrics!

Hello, this is Rena.

We have another project to follow last year's "Furu Furu Interview" project.

The Wii DDR series has a lot of cool dance music in it.

But they're all in English, so I don't know all the lyrics.


So, the plan is to learn the English lyrics and then translate them into Japanese.

Is there any method or any plans for Konami releasing unlock codes or manual patches to unlock DDR X Machines not connected to e-amuse?

I'm sure they will release unlock codes for DDR X in time. Wait for the US internet rankings to begin, that's when the Supernova 2 unlocks started to come out ;)

DanceDanceRevolution X2 Location Test!
It's been a while! Thank you for waiting, everyone!

I'll be going to the DanceDanceRevolution X2 location test. It runs from November 25th to December 3rd at the Round One store in Akihabara.

I'll see you again when we write our first report.

Went to a Business Meeting

A location test is going to be held in a few days at Tokyo Leisure Land in Akihabara. I went to a meeting there to discuss the location test implementation. One of the highlights of this arcade is that it has four DDR machines, both old and new versions. And on the day of the test, there will be one more version there: DanceDanceRevolution X2 Location Test version!

The store manager told me "We've been receiving a lot of calls about it!", so please everyone, come and try out this new version of DDR! There's a whole bunch of good songs on it!

Not that I've seen. The only person I've ever seen actually respond to comments on their i-revo blogs is nc.

Oh wait, I don't think this is actually him.

But yeah, I've never seen any of the Bemani artists or Staff teams actually respond to comments.

Location Test News

Arcade programmar karasu here.
The X2 location test is coming up very soon now, so we'd thought we'd let you in on some news for it.

-There will be no EXTRA STAGE available at the location test
-e-AMUSEMENT will not be accessible at the location test
-Mode select will not be present (it's unnecessary as only one mode will be playable)
-You will not be able to select your character at the location test, it will be set to "random".
-New features and a line-up of songs are currently being developed. (Some of these may change in the future.)
-As usual, there will be surveys and questionnaires available for players to give their input on the game.

We're still in the middle of development, so there are some rough spots and there will be certain things not available at the test. But we're going to be working our hardest to meet everyone's expectations for the game.

The differences from the "other" version don't end with just the logo.

So please look forward to it and come to the test when the time comes!

Well, there's good and bad to be had from that.

So he's basically saying it's different than X2 US CS?

Yup. I was actually surprised at the line about the logo. It's almost as if they were reading the different BEMANI forums or something .

Don't tell me DDR is going to have hands.

Now Im very interested; this has the potential to be a great game, that logo alone sets high standards for the theme, but it scares me that they seem to be leaving a few things out at the test location, but hopefully it'll end up being a good game.

I apologize for the confusion that my blog translation brought.

I originally translated "今回搭載されている各種新機能や収録されている楽曲ラインナップは全て開発中のものです" as partly implying that there would be "new capabilities" added to songs (implying new arrow types). However, what I now believe it actually says is that there will be new capabilities added to the actual cabinet itself ALONG WITH a line-up of new songs that are currently in development.
