They did, but games after Extreme did not allow players to play edits in the Arcade. Respect is a popular song, so they are probably including it so players can make edits of it and play them in the Arcade.

See, I think this game WILL surpass the 100 song count.

Oh, I see. Well that makes sense. I just wish the song would make its way onto a US DDR CS game...

Our only hope is that old "put songs on a JP mix and release them a year later on the next US mix" trick, although it is sketchy because it is not a new song to DDR.

I am thinking your right Surprised
My predictions for the game:
-Will contain a more advanced engine than the US (will have MFC and the full combo splash, NGs will still break your combos)
-Will have many Wii version songs
-Will have X AC songs, and some new Bemani crossovers (nadeshiko rock being my reasoning for this) to go along with them
-Will have all the characters and their alternate outfits
-Song count will surpass 100 songs
-Classic KO revivals, no Dancemania

You left one out.
-Will be able to make edits that are playable in the arcade.

Is the news on the front page supposed to be IIDX15? It's linking to DDRX after all... Question Mark

This game has become interesting again; the X songlist is nothing to scream about but some well placed revivals would still make it a really solid offering.

If the song count does surpass 100, I'll be VERY surprised, as konamistyle.jp only says:

収録楽曲は有名楽曲を含む70曲以上!
70+ included songs will include popular licenses!

Didn't they use "70+" for advertising SN1? (Which had 84 songs)

What about Extreme? (110)

From play-asia, it states this in the product description, I think people knew then:

Notice the 110 mention in the Japanese bit.

Well, makes sense to me. I mean it's not like Japan already had Paranoia -Respect- in a game and America has been asking for it for a long time.

Oh whoops forgot to carry the one, that's exactly how it is.

Hooray...

actually, i think it does make sense. from the looks of what has been unlocked for ES/EES so far, we already got all the DDRX boss songs in our version. they are probably bringing back paranoia respect to give them an equal amount of boss songs, provided they make it one. if this isnt the case, japan are just a bunch of lucky bitches.

I was kinda hoping that those two Extra Stage slots would've been new songs altogether. Though I guess that hope fell apart when the soundtrack was leaked.

I wonder what's going to be in place of the SN2 catch up songs. Something tells me it's Wii crossovers, but it it seems like that would give people less of a reason to buy the Hottest Party games.

"DINGDONG♥HEARTS"
So it seems that they're reviving songs for the sake of Edit mode. *twitch* Hoorah....

They better do this for the next US CS release.

On second thought, why would they revive old songs for edit mode if you could just transfer the edits from the older games?

....Exclaimation Sign They better be getting a better Edit engine if that's the case.

no less of a reason to buy hottest party than festival and strike give to not buy UM1 and UM2.

True, but the UM games were not released in Japanese markets.
