My name is Margo
I started playing DDR when I was 14 and started out on SuperNOVA. (which according the all the DDR veterans I knew, that game is not the best to start out on; But what do they know?) It was kind of a funny story too. My sisters and I freaked out when we opened up the PS2 and also got DDR and Kingdom Hearts. We set up the DDR game first and each tried a song thinking we would pass with AAs, but instead it was me failing Since U Been Gone on and crying along with my sisters who couldn't pass a song as well. My mom gets up and plays Funkytown on and then suddenly the three of us get the hang of it, and I immediately got to in the evening.

Currently, I am working on passing ITG 11s and 12s as well as DDR 16s. Though I do believe that DDR has closed the gap between its ratings and the ITG ratings by now.

My Name is Chua Wei, I am 12 this year and I live in Jurong West, Singapore. I've been playing DanceDanceRevolution Since Age of 7, I started the beginner mode and for 8 to 9 I started on Basic. On 10, I started a little expert and from 11 and 12, I am now an expert on that game.

However, I would only clear a difficulty of 15. I couldn't clear some of songs due to lack of training. I would always try my best by clearing one of the X-Specials in DanceDanceRevolution X.

Although I have been aware of this place for a long while, I primarily came here recently to help put the ddr-navi.jp arcade location database info into the ZIV Arcade locator, but I'll leave a mark here as well.

I'm Aaron (34), and I started playing DDR in 1998. I came to Japan in the spring of 1998 and have been here ever since.

I step on arrows, things flash on the screen. Sometimes all the steps are Perfect or Marvellous and then I take a picture. This is great joy. All hail the cantaloupe of democracy. I can PFC most songs up to 15 or so. I still think I can pull off some other 15s or a 16 but it would take some work on my end (and lots of time/money).

My DDR rival code is 1105-1571 if anyone really wants to add me, though I haven't have as much time on X2 as I'd like.

I play other Bemani, too. Mostly Jubeat and/or IIDX but DDR has always been my thing.

Hello! My name is Nixot. I used this site to download simfiles, and decided to join it in the hope that it would be more friendly and pad-centred than Stepmania. Which it is! I am here to talk about playing DDR and give people simfiles. In the arcade I have roughly 7 to 8 feet of skill, and at home on a keyboard I can pass most 9-10 foot songs, although I am getting a pad soon.

Sup peoples! I been aware of this site for a long time now and registered to update some arcade locations in central Va. I mainly play DDR and Pump, and now that my arcade has IIDX 17, I'm trying to get back into that groove. So THE LURKER HAS AWAKENED!

AWRIGHT, so I decided to actually check out this website after hearing about for so long, and I'm staring to wonder where it's been all my life. Soooo, names Evan, but I go by fruit on the internet. Im 14 and I discovered DDR when I was 7 and my dad spoiled me with a DDRMAX2 for the playstation and a 400$ metal pad. I started playing heavy songs by the time I was 8 and AA'D PSMO when I was 10. I took a break and stopped playing so much, but started again when I was 12 and I now I can't get off it.

I also play ITG and PIU, got a Fiesta 10 minutes away from my house

You are lucky to have a $400 functioning pad and a PIU game near you.

Welcome to the forums. My only advice to you is to avoid bumping old threads for no reason. Avoid useless bumps and you'll fit in nicely.

I´m Lucie , I`m 19 (will turn 20) soon and living Germany.
I came here..because...I don`t remember... I think because I searched for simfiles... and because Margo invited me.
Then I started to like this community, so I stayed after I found the files I searched for.
It`s very nice here

Okay, something about myself:
I played DDR for the very first time when I was 17. It was in January 09 on an Anime Convention.
I liked the game so I played it on all conventions since then... after the 4th convention in July09 I buyed a PS2 and DS Supernova because it was the only version I knew and knew I would like it... I got SN2 as present 2 months later.
I liked the game but because it was very boring to play it alone I played it only about one or twice a month when my best friends visited me.
Then had a big fight with these 2 friends and we didn`t meet anymore... so I didn`t play DDR anymore... for a half year.
In April 2010 I discovered DDR for 2nd time... I was surprised that my softpads were still working.
I just started to play because I wanted to take part at a beginners tournament (level 1-5) and I wanted to be prepared for it.
Then I found our Germany Machinedancecommunity VierPfeile and found our that there are many many other players out there.
They had a accomplishment threat and I wanted to post something there... but because my level 6/7 was to embarrassing and I thought they would laugh at me when I would post something like this there I started to practice...haha, only 4 days after I registered I passed my first 8! I passed a 2nd one one week later and wasn`t able to pass more for a long time.. On the tournament witch was in the end of May I got 2nd at advanced players category... I was very proud of that and kept on playing because of another tournament in September and because I wanted to win next year ( this year, lol)
Then... on 1st June some days after the tournament I passed my first 9 in the middle of the night... and I was the happiest person in the world at that moment.
This is because I saw 2 players who played DoLL on challenge when I just passed my first 6 exactly one year ago (31. may 09). (it was the 3rd time I every played) and I thought "Wow, they are not human, I will never be able to play something like this" And when I noticed that I`m very close to it I wanted exactly THIS song to be my first 9.

2 weeks later I was able to play half of the DDR 9s

Then rhight after I passed my first DDR 10 I had to stop playing for another 2 months because I started smashing softpads very fast.
It took me 2 months till I could buy a metalpad.
1 Week before I buyed it I passed my first ITG 10 on an event (Gamescom) and played there ITG for the first time.
I liked this game much more than DDR, So I got ITG and Started playing it on the day I got my metalpad...
I had to start on level 7 again... I was able to play 9s again very soon... but it took me almost 2 months before I started passing 10s in the end of October...

Just 2 weeks ago I passed my first 11 (Robotix) on a dedicab in the Netherlands...it was so cool there! I loved it... but unfortunately it`s so expensive to get there

Ah... an in the 2 month break we (me and my mum) moved to another apartment... so I can`t play every day anymore because my neighbors hate me. And they are always at home...
Soon I`ll move to an ground floor apartment again (in May or June) then I`ll be able to play every day again!!!! Oh god, I can`t wait for that!!!!!
Oh, Then I`ll have to play every day because I should be able to play at least level 12 till July...because I promised one friend to go to the ITG world cup with her. I think level 12 will be fine. Then I won`t be the worst player there (That`s my goal for this year...I don`t want to get last place there that would be embarrassing getting last place in front of the whole world ...lol...
Other Goals: I want to win the tournament where I got 2nd last year. Getting at least 2nd at another tournament in May...I`d like to win...but I can`t beat Mary...

Yeah, thats the story.
DDR/ITG changed my life.
I found so many new friends because of this game and I got more confidence in everything I do.
And this game keeps my weight down and my health+stamina up.
IT`s such a wonderful game!



Others things about me:
I like to grow fish and plants. I have 4 aquariums and almost a botanical garden at home.
And I like Cosplay and Conventions.
How I got to go to conventions I another very long story. I made a video about it but it`s in German.
