I don't know what a 20 would look like, I don't care either, but a 19 looks like this so I can guess that it would be some shade of horrible

Appending this just to make it easier to read.

From the above video:

The 32nds in the beginnng; you have to use the same foot to go from the 3-stream (whatever you call that) to the 5-stream but I think it fits the song there.

"five minute white boy challenge"

Last updated: 2016-11-30 10:22pm
Oh. Oops.

Right, here we go...

0:47 HONESTLY DON'T KNOW HOW THAT ONE GOT THROUGH QA - Yup, doublestep, one to you. This is one of two doublesteps in the song that is actually troubling.

0:52 to 0:59 PAUSE-A-ROONI BIT - Regardless of which position your feet are in, the stop gives you ample time to adjust yourself. Like, the first one, you will be ninety degrees to the right on the stop, then you should move your right foot to the left to start off as following the pattern after it with alternating feet puts you back in the right place. The stop after that, it's a stepjump into the pause, then right foot to hit up, alternate feet again. The stop after that is clean into the D+L jump, which is a jumpstep where you should be hitting left with your left and then alternating feet. The final stop is a double step, they were so close, damn it.

1:12 SPIN MOTHERFUCKER - I debate the word 'iffy' and replace it with 'technical'.

1:15 and 1:17 HONESTLY NOT TOO BAD - These two bits with the 24th bursts are doublesteps, but they're minor enough to not get in your way, judging by the fact you're good enough to have gotten to this part.

1:20 SPIN AGAIN - So, starting at the DOWN-RIGHT gallop, it's right foot on down, left foot on right, right foot on up, left foot on left, and the 12ths flow properly out of that.

1:24 SERIOUSLY THESE COULD'VE BEEN EASILY FIXED KONAMI - Maybe they just feel forced to stick in a dumb doublestep every time 24ths pop up.

1:32 COMPLICATED EXPLANATION TIME - Nope. Do the right-up-left-up-left crossover as usual. Your right foot should be on left. Leading into your complaint of 1:33 also being wrong, you shouldn't come out of the jump moving your right foot to hit down, you should instead move your left foot to hit down, then hit left with your right foot. The D-U-D triplet will be left-right-left with your feet, continue as usual.

1:36 SUPER COMPLICATED EXPLANATION TIME II TURBO HD REMIX PLUS ALPHA - While it's absolutely brutal, you're actually supposed to turn with those triplets. I'll break this one down, use the big lines to know what I'm talking about if you get lost in my explanation. L-R-L-U-D leaves you forced to hit left with your right foot. Then hit right with your left, and down with your right. Next triplet, it's R-D-R, and you'll be going left-right-left with your feet. Then it's L-U-L with right-left-right. Then R-U-R, left-right-left. THEN THEY GO AND FUCK IT ALL UP BY PUTTING A DOUBLESTEP FOLLOWING THAT TRIPLET REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU TRY TO PLAY IT. This is the second of the "okay, that is pretty bad, I'll give you that" doublesteps. Then it's a R-L-L+R stepstepjump and you're on your way to the final section of the song.

1:56 HOLY FUCK I'M DIZZY - Light speed spin that would be fairly basic at a lower BPM.

So, yeah, I don't see much wrong with this chart, and overall, I like it quite a lot. I like high challenges and the fact that the chart is actually good just adds to that. If you want to disagree, sure. But I feel like people love to give false criticism to the chart, saying it's riddled with problems, what have you, to try and make their simple opinion that they don't like the chart a scientific fact that the chart is bad.

I feel like this community is too quick to complain about anything that might require more than one run, anything that poses a true challenge. I'm not willing to take "it's ambiguous" as a real criticism because... well, yes, it's going to take more than one run of a level 19 chart for you to actually get it SOMEWHAT down. Something not being 100% clear on your first go doesn't make it "ambiguous". It makes it hard, it makes you think "okay, how do I pull this off"? You are NOT going to be able to sightread this and have a jolly old time. Study hard, play it over in StepMania, know what the game wants you to do at specific problem areas, etc. That's the only way to survive extreme charts like this. While Valkyrie Dimension and OT"P" are awful and Para Revo is pretty-bad-but-not-complete-garbage, I'm a firm believer that with or without the level 19 rating, this chart is really good and showcases a level of difficulty the likes of which has never been in DDR before.

It's okay that you think it's a piece of shit. I personally don't and find it very enjoyable. Don't try to call it a fact.

The Expert chart is also really good.

It's funny because they know you're probably only wanting Expert/Challenge. What a dumbass way to get more cash off the dedicated players...

This means it costs at least 15 credits to unlock every song's difficulties. This doesn't count Triple Counter. If they also give us Triple Counter that means it costs 18 credits to unlock every song from this event. That's highway robbery.

Well I'm assuming Beginner and Light are unlocked from the start to play since it says "NEW" and the highest available difficulty is Light. Hopefully you don't have to play Beginner as well...

Angelic Jelly and Strayed Catz are the only ones worth it, tbh.

None of them are fucking worth it, frankly. How can you expect 99% of people to spend three credits unlocking the proper chart for ONE song?

And cost DOUBLE if you play both SINGLE and DOUBLE rounds.

This isn't really that big of a deal. Most ddr a machines have premium mode enabled anyway, so all it means is dedicating your extra stage to unlocking a new song. Yes, playing each song 3 times is a pain in the ass but at least it provides more content. The fact that we actually got the event and don't have to play other music games is good enough for me. If you don't like the system, don't play the songs.

"hi"
You guys realize that everywhere else in the world had to unlock each difficulty separately too, right? That's not a catch specifically for the U.S. There's nothing new about that.

Anyways, I'm happy that I finally get to have access to these songs...eventually, haha

People getting upset when the songs come out.
People getting upset when we finally get a way to unlock them.
People finding ways to get upset over a series getting new content and actually being paid attention to.
