I'm sorry, I can't watch this all the way. The thought that was going thru my mind was "Don't believe the hype.". In the year of our Lord 2017, is it still relevant for people to be baited to believing that this is the real Polybius game?

Spoiler: An editor of a website basically made up the story and published the article that dated back to when people first started hearing about the mysterious arcade game in order to get people to check out his arcade historian website. The hype was built-up to what is now known as an urban legend, but there is no legitimate copy or cabinet of the game, outside the many fan works and mock-ups people have made through this urban myth. What he basically managed to do was successful in such a way that nobody could legitimately pinpoint the actual location of the presence of the game, neither was there enough resources and evidence to back up any claim that the arcade game actually existed outside his own website and a GamePro magazine snippet.

I guessed as much. I remembered being baited by a "Polybius arcade cabinet found" (the ending was a poor jumpscare) vid at around 2009-ish or so (I was still browsing Cracked.com that time), so having AVGN do it now just made me roll my eyes.
