Others kept trying to tell him I'm not interested and he should not be in my business. Not to mention he's a manchild who doesn't know how to stay civilized when he doesn't get his way.

Shit man, I'm sorry you're feeling that way. I know what it feel's like to lose someone, and the fact that getting a job can be a nightmare. Don't worry bud, we're here for you.

that's sounds rough, i've also felt the same way about some of my friends. we've grown distant from each other, to the point i'm not even sure we were friends in the 1st place.

I just got here too. I can totally relate to a lot of this... I can't really say much except wish you the best and don't give up on yourself. I almost did my previous school year, and I'm still dealing with it now. I can relate with pretty much everything you've mentioned, from losing loved ones to being unable to get close to someone I really like. I'm always really insecure about my future, so I try to enjoy the present moment as much as I can. Even if it doesn't fix anything in the long term, it takes the pressure off for me in the short term so when the opportunity arises, I can take the action I need to. We're all with you.
On adarker brighter note, anyone checking out the eclipse on Monday? I've got a 97% totality here, so while I'm a good distance away from a complete corona, it'll be enough to be obvious around here. At least, as long as the fog banks don't roll in like they always do...

The eclipse is going to be partial in my area; I am not going to actually see it because I do not have eclipse glasses and I'm afraid of seeing it even with a homemade pinhole viewer because I have bad vision as it is and don't want to take any chances with losing it...I will be watching it on TV for sure, though!
The main reason why I came to this thread was to talk about a dream I had last night about this very website...I don't remember too much about it, but I do know that there was this list of new songs that were intended to be for a new SDVX or IIDX yet never made it into the games and were only found in the HDD data of one of them; everybody was talking about and hyped over these songs. One of the songs was an Alt song and another was by Chilt. I also recall there being a new song by kors k and something which was a collab with Mr. T and some new artist I hadn't heard of yet. I got all excited because of the Alt and Chilt songs, and I also remember there being a larger variety of animated emoticons that could even be used in PM titles, though the site's theme could not be changed. I remember the dream switching to something completely different after this little scene...

I don't get how people have so specific dreams. The last arcade-related dream I had, I tried looking for some Bemani machines, but the DDR machine looked nothing like a DDR machine so I realized it was a dream and had to wake up. I tried to keep the dream together as long as I could so I could take one last look around before waking up. I specifically remember having tears in my eyes when I woke for some reason.

Just got back from a road trip to one of the "100% hot spots" for the eclipse. Shit was pretty spooky and exciting at the same time, was well worth it.

Had a major breakthrough in a song I've been trying to write for the past couple of years now. I'm literally shaking from excitement. I don't know how I never came to a conclusion like this before, but I finally did it. I've never gotten so excited in finishing a track in my life, that's how proud I am of this song and how relieved I am that I've finally put all the pieces together. I'm also inspired to heavily retool the lyrics, now that my writing style has changed. Something more colorful & descriptive, less heart-on-sleeve. I really look forward to showing you the track when it's all said and done, however long it'll take for that to happen. I don't want to try and compare it to any other song as I want it to try and stand on its own merits, but to give you a loose idea as what to expect, think like a cross between Daughters / John Mayer and Another First Kiss / They Might Be Giants, building up into Lazy Eye / Silversun Pickups.
