As much as I hate the term "fake news", CNN really is fake news 99% of the time. And this is coming from someone who is pretty left leaning in a lot of ways.

CNN or any other news outlet should know better than that. Horrible journalism.

I will admit that I am slightly amused that we now have a president who shitposts and shares shitposts.

Our previous president was savvy with the internet and its denizens.

Our current president is an average internet denizen.

...Not much else I can say on the topic of politics, unfortunately. Either everyone disagrees with me or all my points have been made already.

Uhh... so good news and bad news:

The good news: I now have these new pads! (they arrived today) (yes they are Cobalt Flux Arcade 6ex pads)



The bad news: Neither of them are working! One of the pads has 3 of the 4 directional arrows working (L,D, and R, not U), while the other has NONE of the arrows working! Any idea of what might be causing these issues?

I also slightly dismantled the pads and there's only a couple of wires leading to some place, any idea of where that might be? I doubt it would be the corner arrows (although none of them work on both pads).

I don't know what thread to put this in, and it doesn't seem to be significant enough to warrant its own thread for now, but KONAMI is in the process of location testing a new rhythm game known as "StepStar". It's a foot-based "dance type" game which feels like the lovechild of DDR, DanEvo, and a bit of Jubeat to me; I am unsure as to how the game is played, but there is a video of it.

A photo of the game's instructions was posted to Twitter though it was later deleted; one thing to note is that the instructions had no mention of the "BEMANI" logo so I am unsure as to whether or not it will be a BEMANI game.

The wiring is all routed under the panels to the corner the panel is located in. You'd have to remove the entire ground panel of sheet metal held down with velcro if you wanted to look at all the wiring closely.


All of those should be as simple as a wire getting loose from the panel; the completely non-working one is probably a loose ground wire. I got CFs similar to yours and noticed spade connectors in the arrows I was having problems with, but they may not be used for all of your arrows. Remove the wire from the velcro and touch the wire against the bottom panel of sheet metal to at least confirm its working.

This is my diagram of which corner screw the panel wires are located, except for ground (it's the top left screw):

Not sure if this is relavant enough to go on the actual thread, but I think I found the inspiration for Stepstar...

I have some kinda sad news...
Last night I dropped my iPhone on the ground by accident, and the screen turned completely black.
I had a long, hard night running around trying to buy a temporary phone to use while the iPhone gets fixed, and eventually ended up with the Android I am typing this post from.
I was very stressed last night and am still a bit worried, but I will not stop being the positive girl I am as I know that all will be well in the end. (｡･ω･｡)
