For those talking abotu characters - the BEMANI team put a HUGE amount of effort into the characters. But then the game didn't fit on the Wii disc, so they had to dummy down some of the features, and that (sadly?) was one of them. It beats having a whopping 4 characters in Hi-Res, right? Or dropping some of the KO tracklist?

Here's something that no one seems to have mentioned yet:
Does Course Mode/Nonstop Mode exist? If so, what are the courses in the game? (Any parallels to Boss Rush X2 and VS Replicant?)

There is a course mode, but it doesn't have "names" to them, only Course 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.Does Course Mode/Nonstop Mode exist? If so, what are the courses in the game? (Any parallels to Boss Rush X2 and VS Replicant?)
Also, Oni, if you checked my recording i did UNBELIEVABLE on Difficult.

Not to be rude, Mr. Music, but anyone can convert a Youtube clip to an .mp3 in a matter of seconds. What I'd really appreciate is for someone to trim it down to just the song with none of the sound effects that play before/after the song.

I'm sorry if I'm ridiculously late but are modifiers even available? I feel like every video I've seen at this point hasn't changed arrows or hi-speed settings...

They're in, with .5 increments until x8.

Yes, all setting options appear to be exactly the same as HP3 and HP4.

Alright, I can do that. But honestly, it felt necessary to get the lineouts because people had asked for them... #weird. But yeah, I'll work on thatPost #3073 · Posted at 2011-10-12 09:11:40am 14 years ago

They found out how much we loved A Geisha's Dream, and so made even more songs that require Shuffle to pass :{

Mm, fair enough, you have a point there. This being the game with like the biggest and arguably the greatest song list in... ever is quite impressive in itself.
Kinda scary, though, to think if they want to top this game, they may have to make more sacrifices... D:
This game is gonna be a dirtbag to find used. Everyone is going to want to keep it. xP

Out of sheer boredom I went back to the beginning of the thread.
My god, we knew nothing and everything at the same time.
First of all, everyone was so skeptical about "having stronger ties to the arcade version".
Burtzman wanted 70+ songs and Challenge difficulty, but hyperkitten thought Konami would see that post and just shrug it off.
Discussion of the formulaic jun songs... surprise! UNBELIEVABLE. At least it doesn't have an icon in it, those are annoying to type.
And the biggest shocker:
double takes
Pandy, you nailed it!

Probably not as VS Replicant had 7 songs, the courses only allow 6 (HUGE let down >_>) Thought, it will be fun to play courses with all full songs
I will say, this game was definitely content oriented with much less about polish. This game really lacks polish and modes, but it's got a TON of music content. If they put this much content in the next DDR on Wii U and use the extra space for the modes, we'll be set

There are courses. They don't say what songs are in them before you select them....which is unfortunate. Granted, there are only a couple songs on this mix I wouldn't want to play.

Actually, hit the minus (-) button, it will reveal what songs are in the courses before you play them.

Well DDRIII will most likely be the last Wii DDR as the Wii U's being released next year (which uses Blu-Ray so no space problems there).
Now here's an interesting question to speculate about: will DDRIII be just on the Wii, on the PS3/360 too, or also on the Wii U? I have a feeling it will be Wii-only next year as well, and then DDRIV will be cross-platform, PSWiiU60.
Edit: Also, the intro video, sorry about no sound. Ubuntu doesn't seem to like me... Can't wait until I can get Windows back,
