"suffering from success"
my collection of Now That's What I Call Music grows exponentially
just purchased 11, 32, and 49
my main goal is to have most of them by the end of the year
so far, i have 1-7, 10, 11, 13-18, 21, 23, 25, 26, 32, 49, 60, 61, and the original #1s
my main interest rn is in 43, since some of that stuff is hitting me hard with the nostalgia
wish me luck

With what was recently said by Kevin Bachus, about future Bemani games at D&B recently, I figured now is any good as time as ever to start looking for a Houston area location that meets these requirements for a potential Round 1. But I can't do alone. I need help to find a location. So I'm asking, does anyone know any good locations that could house a Round 1 in Houston?

I think I'm trapped inside my house because of how bad it's snowing outside, well in my area that is...

So I uhhh...

didn't really wanted to play a 16 for a couple more weeks, but the person playing with me wanted to play this one so we can both fail Vanessa together. Laughing Out Loud
Heh heh. At least I passed it as well as the person that played with me.
Not how I wanted to start 16's, but I'll take it.

Thank you NewbStepper. It'll be a while before I play another 16. I actually wanted to play an easy 16 for the as the first 16. Time to go over which 16's are on the easy side, so I can prepare to play it in a few weeks.

It's been good so far. I discovered that The Legend of MAX should be played at 1.5x instead of 1.75x. All in all, I'm getting better at them as shown with Cleopatrysm. First 15 FC. Big Grin It would have been Zephyranthes, but I got only one miss at the final 16th burst. Mad
My phone was at 4%, so I couldn't take a picture, but thank God for the e-Amusement app.

Then I guess you'll be okay with the easy tier 16s. I think you'll do fine on all of these.

I'm still working up to clearing my first 16. I can clear some of the easier 15s and MAX 300 on a good day, after warming myself up for a few games. Currently, my next short-term goal is clearing Shakunetsu Beach-Side Bunny Heavy. It's... Really, really tiring. I collapsed in front of a crowd of people who've probably been playing for more than 5 years. Woops. I can kinda clear Cleopatrysm- It's not that hard, there aren't that many hard 16th streams... I'd say that the only reason it's not a 14 is because the chart just isn't logical.

But that aside, great job on your first 16! I've seen Vanessa Heavy, it looks like fun. It'll probably be one of the first 16s I attempt when I get to it.

It has me thinking if whether or not Cleopatrysm can be rated a very high 9 (Old Scale). One thing that DDR A has got me thinking since July is how songs would be rated from X-Scale to the Old Scale. It mostly applies to songs from DDR X to present, but I wondered about how an Old 8 can be a 12 or 13 to a 15 in the case of Paranoia Hades Standard (Possible misrating?). Trip Machine Phoenix Heavy was an old 9 now rated a 15, and I wonder if all those jumps gave it the push to be 10 (15) or 9(15). One may never know really.

The amount of complaining surrounding SupremeX's signature (that has since changed) was seriously pathetic.

Approximately nobody asked for this song to be included. Least popular decision by the Japanese since Nintendo released the Wii U.

So today, we're going to be leaving for the Speech & Debate National Qualifier tournament at the University of Oregon. The stakes are high- Anyone who places 1st or 2nd in their event will go on to Nationals at Birmingham, AL. This'll be the hardest tournament of the year, but I'm sure I'll at least do better than last year.

"I'm really, really bad at DDR."
Welp, after a relatively successful Sebring 12 Hours on iRacing last Sunday (finished 8th out of the 39 cars that finished, started 40th) with my team of 4 drivers... there was quite the shitstorm and my epic failure of making a tournament... which didn't work out so well. If someone was to delete that thread, that would be excellent.

So... not the greatest day so far.

However... I will be going to the real-life Sebring 12 Hours!

Hey, I thought it was a good idea. I mean, probably a good idea to start on a smaller scale before anything. Test a few things out, arrange a few little competitions with friends and regular players. I honestly would like to see a random settings tournament. However, I will say that you probably overthought things a bit, planning ahead three tournaments in advance or so.

Organizing big things are hard. Trust me, I'm working on my own projects, and I have my own tightly-packed schedules putting wrenches in my plans. But you don't give up. You start one step at a time, and push yourself further and further until there's no other direction to go- only forward, or downhill. The destination isn't the fun part- it's the long, winding path there.

Hey Mike, I know you're feeling down about how much planning and organizing you didn't think through at first, but don't let it let you down like that. You stated the whole thing was an idea and you were open to feedback. You also seemed willing to acknowledge and take into heart what people were telling you. I don't think you epically failed at all, since you didn't just go ahead and actually contact people to set things up, advertise your event, etc. prior to realizing what you would have liked is beyond your means. This is how every creative event begins - with ideas, ideas like yours, ideas that may not have succeeded at first.

I'd echo what rapidemboar just wrote and suggest you try to gather people in your area just to have fun. Maybe they may be interested in whatever you plan later on, or have friends that are interested. Also build good relationships with people you'll need to involve in these sorts of events first.

To brighten the mood, I'll tell you an epic fail that I had today: I attempted Valkyrie dimension Heavy on 3.0x because I was foolish and totally forgot about the 390 BPM ending. I barely survived it haha.

I need to get in on sim racing again, I used to have a really good GTR2 setup but none of the actual hardware to do good stuff with it.
