But I also like Trigger Expert, I think those steps are fun.
The steps are... awkward. However, even that aside, what irks me the most is the asinine stops. They're so sloppily thrown in, it really irritates me. I'm probably alone in my obsession with well-placed stops but it's a DDR pet-peeve. Tongue

Other than one or two double steps, I think the steps flow pretty well. But I will agree with you about the stops in the middle, they do seem kind of random in their placement.

Konami published this news video for the release of DDR X. Besides a cameo by NAOKI, there doesn't appear to be anything interesting.

Ok, so what is the deal exactly with the Afro head message that appears on the Select Mode screen, and again on a Versus play Results screen?

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Looks like we've been had with Trigger having a background video.

Yep as stated on BEMANIwiki.

The Afro thing is so a 2P BEGINNER can try out the 1st STAGE for free.

After selecting Single play? Huh, interesting way to attract new players!

Yep, it's a shame only BEGINNER difficulty is allowed for that player.

Look, I'll give you this hit for free because I like you. But I'm gonna have to charge you next time.

He's pretty good, but still a damn shame he failed Trigger at the last step.

Yeah, if it hadn't been on Sudden Death, he would have had a high AA.

I still hate the announcer, especially when he decides to interrupt while I'm looking at the score screen. It hasn't even been 10 seconds, and he starts talking.

Now, I admit, THAT is annoying, and even the Beta didn't have them going off that quickly after idling.

It's actually quite rude if you think about it. You've paid money to play on that machine. God forbid if you want to stop for a second

The place I frequent to play on a DDR machine is rather small so I'm positive that the manager will try to find a way to completely shut his trap if he gets DDRX AC. Tongue

The announcer will be pretty annoying if you're cycling through the songs, trying to decide which song to play. And I'm sure there are people that let the timer run out before playing a hard song on a final stage

I don't let the timer run out, but I do wait a good 30-40 seconds longer than normal before starting a song if I want a break.

Also, there are some parents that will put money in a game, let the 5 year old kid wander around the pad for one song, then leave.
So the machine sits there for the full time, then does the song. It's even worse than you might think, because it's always on beginner, so it's 3 stages of it doing that.
The arcade employees I know dislike it enough when it's just left on a song they don't like.

Of course, when I see that happen, I just wait a bit to make sure they're not coming back, then hop on and play, even if I was taking a break.

"Lady From that Time" has been confirmed as an unlockable character.

In fact...

And here's Yuni 2 with her accessories, two hair ribbons and a feather duster.

Oh, and a special arrow has been unlocked that resembles the 5th mix and below arrow skin.

DDR X has many bugs
In a credit title, we often saw the background bugging.
Sometimes BG movie turns out black.

And I have seen DDRX being rebooted automatically by windows application error
ten times or some from 12/24 last year.

Hope it will be easy to get the upgrade kit for France.
DDRX will not celebrate the 10th Anniversary of DDR to me, it lacks "the thing" that make DDR before EXTREME 2 so awesome ...
