Feelings Won't Fade: 10
Hero 2008: 2

I'm not a fan of Hero 2008. The gallops seem off. Maybe they're fitting for Cowgirl, but not this. It's sad, too, because Hero is a great song.

Feelings Won't Fade is also a great song, and I really like the chart. One of the things I like about it is that it continuously increases in difficulty. In the beginning you wonder "why the heck is this a 12?" and then later on you realize why. My only real gripe is how you find yourself double stepping a lot.

So yeah, voting for Feelings Won't Fade, if it wasn't obvious enough.

Also, off topic, wasn't Feelings Won't Fade a credits song in some DDR game? (not sure which, but I'm pretty sure it was)

I don't think so, but I do remember its extended version appearing on the Extreme 2 sampler. Which is funny considering it never came to US DDR for another 2 (?) years.

FWF - 11
Hero 2008 - 2

London EVOLVED got changed to Vanessa because it was my nomination and I wanted to change it because Vanessa's chart is so super amazing. I'm just great at picking charts aren't I Evil Puppy I wasn't sure to change London or Zero but Zero's jumps make the chart so fun........

Yes, it was the ending theme of DDRMAX2 CS.

I don't get why people are hating on Feelings Won't Fade. You guys get so picky with doublesteps and spins Tongue.

"I really want to hurt you."
Somewhat decent matchups in the first round:

Vanessa vs. HVAM (Match 17)
A vs. Anti-Matter Standard (Match 18)
Captivate vs. So Deep (Match 22)
smooooch vs. Paranoia Survivor (Match 29)

I hope we weed out the crap after this round. I can't take another unbalanced matchup.

Will there also be a loser's bracket?

EDIT: Oh god, next round will be tough. Especially the first matchup. I can only wonder how much more difficult it will get.

What if we just voted for everything all at once?
Like:

Session 9: 1
Mind Mapping: 5
Xepher: 0

etc?

I might consider skipping some weeks that are especially one-sided.

So if it does 9-0 we can immediately skip it?

There's almost no point in skipping; the polls only last a day and who knows if someone, for whatever reason, counted the days until a good poll and then missed it because we skipped ahead. Unlikely, but just that skipping could make things confusing.

... but there are a ton of matchups until the next round, now that I look at it...

I think matchups like 1998 vs. Rhythm and Police, Drop Out vs. VD, xenon vs. D2R Freeze Special and Your Angel vs. More Deep could easily be skipped without anybody complaining Tongue

Then why don't we just add a slaughter rule? Get ten votes ahead and the poll ends immediately.

I don't think a mercy rule would really do any good. It'll be hard to keep track of matches that start and end in the middle of the day and if we postpone the next match to the day after the first one ends then it'll be like the first match ended regularly.

FWF still has 11.
Hero still has 2.

I dunno. I don't see 1998 vs. R&P or DROP OUT vs. Valkerye Dimension being particularly one-sided. Both have sides that are cool for different reasons. Although personally... I'm surprised more deep was even nominated seriously. ~.~' It's a good song, but the charts? Bleah.
