I was expecting about 15 people total to be in the tournament. 36 people entered. Out of those, probably 20-25 were 10 or under. The rest, I'm assuming, were 15-17. I think I was the 3rd oldest there. 2 others looked 21-23ish. I think it's funny that 2 of the kids' parents were coaching them before the match "You want to have a balanced team. Have each pokemon be a different type" and stuff like that.

I was owned pretty fast in the first round. He EV trained and my team did not stand a chance against his Metagross. My gf made it to the second round, but was defeated in about 2 minutes in to her match. Her team was Typhlosion, Espeon, Walrein, and Torterra (we had to choose 4). The Gengar she lost to had 31 speed IVs and was EV trained, so it took her Espeon out with ease. The others were quick to fall too. Walrein stalled a little bit with a rest+chesto berry combo, but even Walrein only lasted a few turns.

Probably the most impressive strategy I saw in that tournament was a Substitute + Focus Punch combo. 2 people (at the same time in the same battle) used Ninjask to baton pass.

Salamence, Tyranitar, Dragonite, Metagross, Ninjask, and Blaziken were overused. a lot. A few of the kids had stuff like Doduo, Piplup, and Charmeleon xD

^ If I were to enter a tournament like that, I'd probably go for using the underused.

Yeah. If you can't tell, I like to use the underused, especially considering how obviously annoying it is when little kids constantly use things like Tyrannitar and Salamence. Seriously, be original. Or just let me use ice beam to OHKO your Salamence.

The last of the Legendary Trio of Johto is out today for WiFi..

I hate the fact they only made Celebi available in GameStop stores in the US..How I wish they could have made it an WiFi evernt for everyone to avail Celebi

Don't be surprised if they do a Wi-Fi event after the Gamestop event. Seeing that they have already done so with the Legendary Dogs of Johto (don't worry prince_je07 I'm not going to jump down your throat, I just prefer to call them that, Legendary Trio of Johto is fine).

I myself wish that they would do more Gamestop events since my DS isn't compatible with my router and stinking Nintendo discontinued their Wi-Fi adapter, seeing that the majority of the people out there have Wi-Fi at home so there was no need for them to continue selling it.

my sis and me order one of each and I don't remember which one I'm getting. I think I'm getting the one with Iris as the 8th gym leader instead of the guy gym leader.

I think I'm the first to buy Pokemon White from our little group.

I'm definitely picking Smugleaf because he's green. But I'm not naming my first Smugleaf. The name is so common that I don't even know it's actual name!

So yeah, the game comes with a notice of the Victiny Download. The event runs from March 6 to April 10, so you have a whole month to buy this game to download Victiny.

Also, the case is really hard to open for some reason.

My brother has White. When he beats it, he's handing it down to me.

I'm starting out with Snivy.

I still have my pokemon yellow red and blue carts, and the only one after that is ruby which I clocked a couple of times and got bored of it.

I always disliked how you had to have multiple games though to catch all the pokemon, and I also hated how the later games had incomplete lists of the old pokemon.

I understand that black and white are reboots for the series, so they might finally be worth looking into, but I still think they could do with some better names for them.

That said though, I still don't have a DS coz they're bloody expensive.

Pokemon because a popular because of its idea of splitting the pokedex between two games. It encouraged players to interact and drove sales for the franchise. The later games had partial lists of the previous generation to give enough time for players to purchase the previous versions to enjoy a new game and to complete the pokedex.

Seeing how they remade both Red/Blue and Gold/Silver, it can be safe to assume that Ruby/Sapphire and Pearl/Diamond will be remade when they either create a new system or when a new system can no longer support the older games through any method.
