Way back in 2008 when Ugg boots were a thing people still cared about in the UK they were £200. This was pre-recession so it was about $300. Also my brother is no stranger to blowing 300 notes on a pair of football boots that he will use thrice. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks at the end of the day, I use my money to eat out and get drunk.

Looks like a cartridge-based game without the casing. I broke a Mega Drive cartridge (game was Fifa '96, nothing of value was lost) and it basically looked like that.
