I like that you can play with mods now. EES was annoying only being able to use 1x. The way I see it, Encore Extra Stage is so you can play the "Boss of Bosses", not to annoy you with mods, or lack of.

yeah, but even though it was sudden death, you could get ES and EES on basic even. its pretty boring to watch someone play let the beat hit 'em, e-motion, baby baby gimme your love, random something like kind lady, then silent hill. see the flaw here? it isnt unlocked by playing the "boss of bosses" any more, hell do you even need the AA on your ES? i didnt play a lot of SN2, and dont know much about X, but i know i got chaos by getting a B on HDV back on SN1.

getting rid of random to unlock EES was good, i just dont like sitting through people playing easy crap just so they can be like "lol i played ES and EES".

Yep, to get EES on X, you MUST AA a red song for ES. Plus noobs who play on light will likely fail ES/EES if they even somehow manage to get to it because of the battery lifebar/sudden death.

Just a side note, in order to get the Saber Wing remix, on the bounce, and Trigger, it must be played on Expert since the difficulties need to add up to 40 before the ES.

It's still pretty bad so far in terms of new stuff! It's just all these shiny new characters appear to be distracting us from the real problems of the game xD

Personally if i see some good song unlocks come out of the water and at least 1 New boss song that hasnt got retarded bpm changes and is well thought out, something like 888 (Yes 888 had no retarded bpm changes and was pure, uninflated difficulty!). I would dub this the one that made me actually start looking forward to DDR again.

But ill give you even odds that all their boss songs are even bigger PoS' than dead end groove radar special!
