"Sleep cancelled due to COVID-19."
I'm really surprised that StrayedCatz has a more sensible BPM counter on DDR than in other games - when does that ever happen?!

Triple Counter has 718 steps on S-Heavy, damn.

I'll be missing Memeshikute. Its charts are really fun for me. Hey, at least the DDR X3 vs. 2nd Mix at Tri-County will still have said song so I can still play it even once it's gone from A...

None of the pending removals were available in the NA version, which makes me wonder if all of the songs that were missing to start with were licenses that were going to end up axed at some point during the game's worldwide life.

I'm pretty sure the 2nd mix remix licenses will be next on the chopping block.

I doubt that, seeing that we still have those MAX2 nonstop megamix songs.
I think the remaining X2 licenses or 2013 ones will get the axe next.

Not Set

According to Kon, or Mark Hansen, These songs are NOT available in the US DDR A machine, even if you live near a round1 with the 3 needed machines...

Is this true?
If you can read this, you can read!

Pretty sure it's true. There was a news post on the official site saying it's available for Japan, Asia and Korean versions. US version was not stated.

The news item talking about the New Generation event doesn't even show up on the page for me if I'm not logged in with my Japanese Konami ID. Pretty big hint there.

There might be some people like me who use their JP e-amusement card w/ a JP Konami ID on the D&B US machines. In the past, browsing to the area browser after playing on the US machine would give an error, probably because D&B wasn't on the master list of machines yet or something. While going to change some settings today, I went to the area browser out of curiosity and it now works again. It looks like they've added D&B, though I'm not sure if this is the same name across all machines or there is a unique name but it's cut off. (I remember Round1 Southcenter's SDVX machine was ROUND1 SCM or something like that)

My view of the Area Browser looks even stranger:

(That corresponds to the Southcenter Round1, apparently)

Does anyone know if the Floor Infection SDVX songs are actually in the international DDR A release?...
Nope...

You're wrong.

That's strange, as I played SDVX enough to reach Level 2 MAX for DDR, but I could not find either the level 1 or level 2 song in the 2014 folder, or in the Music Sort S folder. It's possible I didn't look hard enough though.

I checked the Play Area Browser on my JP account, and my location doesn't even have a name:

Looks like the locations can set their own names (seeing how "BRAIN POWER" was able to be entered).

Azure Kite, how did you get a green highlight in your browser? Did you visit a location in Japan or something like that?

Yeah, I first played DDR A & did the whole account setup / data transfer thing in Tokyo (Taito Station Akihabara). I noticed when I first played in the US, my JP scores weren't showing but the FC circle things by the difficulties were still there (I don't have a pic since I've since overwritten these scores with ones on the US machines) and my region was "USA" not "Hawaii" but other than that everything more or less worked the same without any problems. (Not sure what will happen if I go back to Japan and try play on a JP machine again)

I don't have FLOOR INFECTION completed, but I've been told that despite the songs showing on the USA licenses screens, the 3 songs don't appear to be available. (which is the same thing you're saying)

So it turns out I may have been misled by Konmai (the video of the USA licenses is obviously not fake)

Blue is your most recent region. Green is any region you've played DDR A in during the life of the game. (2014 play area browser did NOT carry over.)

I am pretty sure you are mistaken. Only scores done in DDR 2014 should have been zeroed out (to "0"). I transferred and registered my DDR A play data in Japan in May, and all of my DDR A scores done in Japan were exactly the same when I played in America since July.

"USA" is the English form of the Japanese software's "アメリカ". In order for your player region to show as a state of the USA, you would have had to register your play data in America.

You could be right, but who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I honestly don't remember what songs I played on DDR 2014 or A, not that the scores were anything amazing or anything lol. I remember being happy just to have played it and thinking this would be my only time (this was before the D&B locations were announced, and I thought Hawaii would have no chance of getting it) and my body aching all over that night having not played (or exercised in general) in such a long time.

"five minute white boy challenge"

This is worth posting on the thread. We are now a single step away from both a 17 MFC and a 19 PFC thanks to Chris.

Approximately nobody asked for this song to be included. Least popular decision by the Japanese since Nintendo released the Wii U.
