"i was born at a very young age" |
Speaking of dreams, I actually had a dream about DDR. In the dream they had released a new Dancing Stage game with DDR A's theme and all the songs in the wrong folders (like MAX 300 in the 1st mix folder). Also ANGELUS was one of the final unlocks, for some reason.

I couldn't sleep last night because it was hot and my mind was still fully awake, and some amusing ideas for song titles started coming to mind, so I wrote them down as they came. Today, I added to them as I was on a site generating songs from these titles, and it all culminated in this thing. I might do some further work and use these as source for further experimentation, but for now, there's an album for free.
UPDATE: MP3 version just added. Same album but completely different because I used a different generator for the MP3s than the MIDI generator. It's kind of basically TWO albums now.

"Still here, somehow." |
Another thing about the subject of dreams--I've had three in a row ever since Monday.
The first one involved me going to a summer camp near the Northgate Mall in Washington and looking at strange alterations to different versions of some games along the way, all the while I had forgotten my backpack with a lot of my summer camp stuff in it for some dumb reason. One of the things I read about involved a strange hack of Super Mario Bros. known as "Vs. Super Mario Bros. Deluxe", which featured two kinds of coins in it rather than one. They were both gray; one was a big oval with a 100 on it, yet it gave 5 coins when grabbed, whereas the other one was a small, circular one that had a 50 on it, but this one gave 1 coin. Apparently, in the article I was reading about this, someone went off on a multi-paragraph tangent about a card game called "Jester" and a synopsis of Illusion of Gaia's plot. After that, I read up on some deliberate hoaxes involving some regional differences in Kirby Super Star; the hoaxes involved Kirby's Beam ability somehow known as "Beatto" and having different animations in the Japanese version. During this time, I was on a school bus that had me and only me on it, and said bus got lost for some reason. Strangely, after I woke up, Illusion of Gaia's main theme got stuck in my head.
The second one had me, my sister, and my father all going to a Target while we were staying in some city. We picked up a few treats along the way, and one of them was a big, lollipop-shaped container of cherry-flavored Chupa Chups...which was only 75 cents. There was also a multi-color and multi-flavor tube of gel that we picked up there; its price was also 75 cents. We got two big bags of kettle corn as well; I forgot their price. Later on, I ended up going to another Target alone and helped out a lost woman. That's all I can remember.
The third one, which I had today, has to be the craziest--me, my sister, and my father were in that city again, only Dad had to go home on his own because it was 10:00 PM. He thought me and my sister were both old enough to find our way home, so he advised us to go find the nearest transit station and get home from there. It wasn't an easy task, as it was raining and pretty dark. I then stripped down to my underwear for some reason along the way, which led to a cop showing up the moment my sister and I got in the transit station. I was about to explain to him about what had happened, but he didn't listen and tazed me in the head with a stun gun from afar. I became comatose and had ten dreams in a row during the coma, making this my very first Inceptionist dream. Then things shifted focus, a common occurence in my dreams; probably a day after the coma, I was at a school at a time before 6:00 AM, ready to celebrate some strange occasion. Somebody was blasting out rap music with explicit lyrics in it; considering that I was at a school, I asked him to change it to something else, but he didn't listen. As mentioned earlier, it was also a little while before 6:00 AM, so I decided to listen to the 5:00 AM music from Animal Crossing: New Leaf before it was too late. Along the way, I accidentally switched to a prog rock song known as "Shadow". That's all I can remember.

After another playthrough of DDR A yesterday, I'm able to improve my skills some more.
Played some more 10's, tried my hand at a couple more 11's. For some reason, I ended up getting a AA on A
rated an 11. Finally tried two 12's. They were Saber Wing (satellite silhouette mix) and Frozen Ray ~for Extreme~. I got a B and B+ respectively. You spin me right round is more like it for Frozen Ray. I played it with someone, and since he's a better player that I am, he literally spun around during that portion. Hopefully next week, I'll be able to play more 12's. I'll probably hold off on playing a 13 until next month.

Don't go up a level until you get a AA+ on a song two or three levels lower. That's how I make sure I'm ready
(note that AA+ is the regular AA from previous mixes, or 95% score and up.

"Still here, somehow." |
Ever since I got my new computer, I've had several problems with it. Two of them have kinda went away; one involved randomly making me lose input on the window I'm currently on whereas the other somehow made the computer switch to another window on its own. There's been one last bug that's been bothering me ever since, and it involves the crap that is the Photos app included with Windows 10. It's not the fact that it lacks features that Windows 8's Windows Live Photo Viewer had, like being able to zoom in or out on .gif's and letting you scroll from one end of your images folder to the other in an instant (?!?), it's that it has bugs that Microsoft somehow can't get off their asses and fix.
First of all, every time I re-open my laptop, Photos runs in the background for no reason whatsoever. Second of all, it sometimes changes transparent areas in the thumbnails of images with transparent areas to black for, again, no reason whatsoever. My only solution to the latter is to copy-paste any images affected by this bug and delete the non-copypasted ones, but this pretty much ends up making it an endless game of whack-a-mole as the damn app keeps restarting itself whenever I open my laptop again. Do any of you guys know anything that I can use or install to stop these bugs, because, as I said earlier, Microsoft is too lazy to fix these?
Oh, and there's also the other weird bug where, if I unplug my laptop while it's closed, it somehow resets its screen resolution to 800x600 until I open it again, meaning I have to manually rescale every window that isn't Winamp's so they're all back to normal. Again, do any of you know what I can use or install to fix this problem as well because of Microsoft's laziness?

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind when playing higher difficulties. For one, I honestly never expected that I would go up from an 8 a month ago to an 11 today. I know that I'll take things slow when upping the difficulty. If all goes well, I might be able to try a 13 by the end of next month.

It's also worth noting that 13s also vary quite greatly in difficulty, so it helps to know the steps in advance starting from that point. You definitely want to be able to at least full combo some 11-rated charts before proceeding to those.

I recently announced an album as NeonMustard and then later announced a second album in this post.
Now I've wound up making NeonMustard a trilogy.

I liked making DA LEGEND OF ZORLDO more than making this, but yeah. I didn't include a CMod reader this time oops.

Thanks for the advice NewbStepper. On another note, the 1000 ways to get kicked out of *blank* thread. OMG.

You're welcome! I did say on the day you first joined, that you'd see yourself improve fast! I wasn't wrong, was I?
And indeed, you should play in these threads with us! Of course, there's people on this site who just want these kinds of threads locked when we're just posting in them to have fun... but yeah. It'll make this site much more worth visiting.

Thanks again. I'll try to play on those some more as soon as I get the LOL's out of me. It might take a while because of the Home Depot story.

I might be playing DDR A for the first time tomorrow
I am super out of shape so I probably won't be playing for long before I want to die.
The Round 1 in Lakewood is the closest to where I live so I will be going there.
