DDR X3 VS 2ndMIX (AC) (Japan)

I'm optimistic there will be some song unlock this week; not only do we have an event starting, but IR also ends.

Indeed my friend, I just hope its not gonna be the 2nd Mix mode most of us are stereotypically expecting to be, It wouldve been really cool to just make up a classic mode where u can play any song on the X3 list, without Mods or freeze arrows, it would be weird, but it wouldve been cool in a way xD

Well, I'd say song unlocks are pretty likely. After all, we do know that we still don't have most of the charts for SUMIDAGAWA KARENKA, some of the DDR I and II stuff is still missing, and besides, certain songs from UNIVERSE 3 weren't on X2--I know I can't be the only one wanting HIT THE GROUND (Alexa Remix) on X3. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but every time Konami announces an "event", that usually corresponds to "more songs".
And the only character accessory I want is that horse head from X. On everyone.

As for the mysterious new event, according to X3 official blog, 5 different songs will be unlocked daily from Monday to Friday.

Yes. It appears until server maintenance I think.
Then another one pops up the next day.

So... It's like how Fire Fire was originally only playable on Tuesdays?

Aaaaaanyway, I hope we'll get some harder songs from this. A new 14, at least. I don't care if it's a crossover or a new KO, I just think X3 could use a bump in the overall difficulty. And since these unlocks are described as songs and not charts, is it safe to assume that Sumidagawa's and (and possibly ) charts are going to remain a mystery for now?

I wouldn't say this is a reason to discount it as an unlock. It could come at any time. It's not that they just only unlocked those charts; they just chose to include it in HAPPY MODE, where there is no concept of unlocks.

Happy to hear about new songs each day! What a great week. SigSig looks like a lot of fun, though by this point I'm a little tired of the song, hah.
