I noticed that the Hottest Party folder shows a BPM of "120-170", which would encompass Such A Feeling (Only 120 BPM KO in HP) and Super Samurai (Only 170 BPM KO in HP) and the Hottest Party 2 folder shows a BPM of "100-192", which would encompass No Matter What (Only 100BPM KO on HP2) and SILVER DREAM (Only 192 BPM KO on HP2).

well looks like we can cross The Reason off the potential revival list.

That'd be kind of cool if those HP1/2 buttons let you import songs ala the Singstar games or DDR 2nd Mix, by swapping discs.

I also have a feeling that most of the songs shown in that songlist are the default songlist. I think anymore stuff we see will be unlocks.

I somehow dont see Lesson3 by DJ being in X2.

Maybe X2 will get HOW TO PLAY instead lol.

If they do that I wonder if they can pull off the same animation in the Arcades.

So far, at least as far as HP3 goes, there are 55 confirmed songs (not counting Lesson by DJ songs). 30 Licenses, 20 brand new Konami originals, and 5 transplants from Japanese games.

By the way, some of these new songs are going to be pretty interesting. An nc vocal song that's 116 BPM?

I REALLY hope that's true as it would be the icing on the cake and make up for the lack of DLC on HP3. It would be awesome to play all the old HP1 and 2 songs using the newer HP3 interface, hell if the PS2 can do it with Singstar then the Wii most certainly can. Only issue is that Singstar's interface is more lightweight and nearly identical across all versions except for colours, while DDR often has radically different interfaces which could make loading the songs into another version more problematic.

The ability to disc swap to any other HP game would indeed be awesome though, and it was something I've been hoping for ever since these games were announced under the collective name of Dance Dance Revolution.

Yay for new songs Smile But the question is, will the HP Japan exclusives be on X2? I kind of hope not TBH. I rather see those spots taken by revivals from arcade DDR's, or new crossovers (Dj Taka in particular)

beatmania 5th Mix CS does this, and lets you play content from old beatmania discs on the new interface.

The Japanese HP songs will probably be there (Pluto the First, True Love, and Keep on movin' are already confirmed for the PS3/360), but there will probably be different revivals. See how HP3 is getting HP/HP2 songs? My guess is a similar thing will happen with X2 (Baile Le Samba).

...So your saying that X2 might have SN, SN2, and X songs?

....sweet Cool (if true that is).

It's a good plan. Instead of just using the revivals to pad out the song list, they can also use to advertise the previous games in the series, in the same way they used to have "bonus songs" that promoted the current arcade mix in the PSX games?

Do you like this song? It has a massive "HOTTEST PARTY 2" banner over it, so you should probably buy that game as well!

So the X2 song list stands at 56 songs?

... These songlists better have 64+ songs...

I'm pretty sure there will be more.

My current speculations on the X2 song list has it around 60 or so, leaving about 10-15 spaces for revivals should this be a "typical" US PS2 release.

We generally get anywhere from 70-85 songs on a ps2 release so were still kinda shy of that mark...

Also as a side note i did not see the evolved song in that songlist....so there is definetly more!
