Normally I go under the assumption that if your and charts are good, you can probably make good lower difficulties too. But I went and took a look anyway.

What the heck why is harder than ? It's not a bad chart at all (I probably still would have given the +3) but it's really weird that you put the harder chart on .

This document is really big. I highly suggest using Ctrl + F (find) to locate thoughts on your file without doing a lot of scrolling, especially if it's lower in the alphabetical list.

I have a lot to say. I played through all difficulties this week and even went into all of them in edit mode in attempt to nitpick details to make the charts better, or at least how I feel they could've been improved.

Why did I decide to review the files with this amount of detail anyway? Well... something hasn't been sitting well with me with the votes lately. In particular, there's been a giant lack of feedback, and the feedback that does exist is usually on the files voted for. Remember there's at least 4 new steppers in the contest, and if we don't give some general tips, how will they improve? In addition, it's also taught me some important lessons, such as not judging a file just on the first play like I always did up to Round A. It let me get a better look at the overall structure of each of the files.

Indeed, there's still a chance you might not find anything at all I point out helpful. But I gave it a good honest try and I'm honestly proud of what I accomplished with this document. Hopefully it'll maybe inspire you to also look at the charts with a greater level of scrutiny.



On the downside, it also means I didn't have the time to work on Oracle, oops... ^^; Sorry to who submitted it, I'll definitely go back and try to step it for my personal category after the contest is over.

Last Simfile Shuffle, I learned the 'hard way' that most people only looked at the and charts, even if they're overstepped. I felt that some of the 16ths that are in my chart (my initial draft of the chart) were potentially overkill, so the chart was made as a more difficult chart that was a bit more to my enjoyment level. The chart was the one that I wished for people to judge my file on (though both charts I feel are good, and I wouldn't have minded if people figured this out and looked at my chart), so I switched the charts for both difficulties. Needless to say, it seemed to have worked...
