If European gamer disappointed about DS SN2 PS2 , why don't they try StepMania for all SN2 songs without exception? Shortcut to get all SN2 songs Green Grin

Well...yeah. Konami doesn't deserve to profit from this DS crap. Surprised

Yeah because they probably already own a DS like this:
http://www.nintendo.com/images/ds/what/main-img.jpg

Kidding aside, I see no reason why they would be less inclined to purchase this Dancing Stage game over any other. The series has always been rather niche and 'girly', if you will, and having many American licences isn't exactly any worse than a small list of pathetically average ones.

Even if it was a small choice of licenses, SuperNOVA's weren't actually that bad, at least step-wise. If you've waited this long just for one exclusive, what's the point?

SuperNOVA just lacked in licenses, US had 20, UK had 10. There were even some NTSC->PAL translation errors that they didn't even bother fixing.

And I have to agree, one entire year for one entire exclusive? That's just pathetic.

It's as if they are actually trying to piss the UK DS community off -> DDR:UK. I guess they won't be too happy we've waited 1 year for 1 exclusive. Tongue

I didn't really mean just SuperNOVA but I found a majority of the licences incredibly dire. Not the steps, but the actual song choices.

Aside from the usual laziness? Or do you mean something more specific?

And it doesn't even have a video either or even lyrics it seems. But then again when have Konami ever needed to try and piss us off?

Hahaha true.

Here's what they did for us in SuperNOVA:

Cut 20 US licenses.
Paste 10 EU licenses.
Change bits of Stellar Master Mode.
Change DanceDanceRevolution to Dancing Stage.
Add four languages.
Change video mode to PAL.
Change Marvelous to Marvellous.

The VIP CARD animations ran for longer due to the fact they didn't account for PAL's 25 frames per second and NTSC's 29.97.

The fact that they're American licences doesn't piss me off, it's the fact that they've done absolutely nothing to warrant the extreme delay. To be honest, any game with this delay would have to have the ability to teleport scantily-clad fit girls into the room before I even think that the wait was justified.

And I agree entirely aside from the Zero Punctuation reference. No hang on the wait is justified because we are Europe. Roll Eyes

Anyone else feel like we are often seen as the arsehole of the gaming market? Companies like Konami don't want to look at us, hold back from coming near us but they have to admit we exist and give us a good wipe now and then just to keep us sedated.

... I'm so gonna regret saying that later. >_<

I agree with the ZP reference, because I'm single and I want affection. Cry

And I think the UK is right in the middle of the hole. We should get the American version, but are held back by the other countries, who probably think that we're better off being part of America. That's why we don't get points in Eurovision.

We don't get points in Eurovision because many of our entries usually suck and nobody really likes us. Apparently Russia won because their the country everyone's afraid of at the moment or something.

Forgive me if your America quote confuses me slightly. Oops

2003: UK agrees with the US to join together in the Iraq war. Also, UK gets nil points in Eurovision, and hasn't done much better since. Coincidence?

...didn't exactly help that our entry that year was utter crap, though. And I have a list somewhere of why Russia won.

Oh, here's why:

1) It's a ballad.
2) The guy who performed it very nearly won in 2006 (thanks, Lordi! You saved us all!).
3) (probably the most important factor) It's in The Bloc.
4) Dima Bilan is very big in Eastern Europe.
5) So's the violin player.
6) Timbaland wrote it.
7) That ice skater guy is the World Figure Skating champion, one of the few sports that the Eastern Europeans heavily fup over.
8) He had slot 24 out of 25, pretty much one of the best slots possible.

That was a worst procedure to make Dancing Stage Oops . Is it too hard to copy paste all Japan SN1 licensed songs?

You kinda have to pay the record labels more money to use the licensed songs outside Japan. Usually, when Konami pays to use a licensed song, it's usually for the arcade version and the corresponding Japanese home version. Some exceptions apply (Doesn't Really Matter, Me Against The Music, Senorita (Speedy Mix), etc.)

I just don't get it, the cover is so irrelevent.
The hexagonal tesellation is off place, the background doesn't fit at all with the SN2 theme and of course the colour... I know there's no point ranting about this monstrosity now, but it would've been half decent if they swapped the cover for this and SN1
