Some things I'd like to see:

New engine
A new PC core has been making the rounds lately (first Dance Evolution, now Saucer and Tricoro); I think its about time the game has had another graphical overhaul. Like, make it have the graphical quality of DE, fancier stages, crisper graphics, maybe get the IIDX team to do it cause Tricoro is so awesome looking)

More crossovers
I think we need to do another catch-up on IIDX crossovers like X2. That kors k boss song from Lincle could be a good choice.

Better Japanese licenses
Why has Jubeat been getting all the good stuff lately?

I know what it's called, btw.

Oh yeah, I also forgot one more idea:

A user-generated content platform
Could be a cross between Sound Voltex Floor and Rock Band Network, or just one. Anyway, we just need a way to have new songs contributed by independent musicians through frequent contests/competitions. SVB can do DLC of this type, and even Jubeat Saucer will be rotating songs in and out too. A jukebox-styled experience where new songs are added via e-Amusement could be a great way to make up for the lackluster initial song list X3 had.

Probably because jubeat is the most successful BEMANI series at the moment.

I agree with all of these, and I have more to add:

Worldwide-Appealing Licenses
HP3 and X2 started bringing a French and Spanish flavor with their new and old songs. Sadly, that direction was reversed after that. I personally believe bringing new licenses from at least those countries to the arcades would be interesting. Pump it Up got it right with NXA, with Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, and Chicago tracks being highlighted in each individual countries' individual version. (Oh yeah, and more English AC tracks would be good. X2 AC was an awesome mix.)

More 14s and 15s
X2 was doing well with the "Somebody SCREAM!" pair, ZETA, and the Replicant trio, and we also got some sweet 13s like WH1TE R05E, going up, leaving.... X3, on the other hand, skimps out on good new 14s and 15s. Come on, KONAMI!

I think that DDR personally should try out a variety of different sound directors. IIRC, Taka was the director for X2, and it was TAG for X3 vs. 2nd MIX. They both had completely different feels, and, though I found X2 to be better simply because X3 was a "catch up" mix, they were good changes from Naoki and jun for the previous mixes. Maybe Sota Fujimori, or since tricoro is pretty great so far maybe Nekomata Master would be an interesting choice (even if he did only have one song in DDR before).

If you really want to see musical innovation for DDR, then give the director title to kors k.

Yeah, other sound directors would be nice. As long as DJ Yoshitaka is not one of them....I know that sounds horrible, but as a sound director I personally don't like him.

Yeah, one of the prerequisites for being sound director of a music game would be to make songs that don't all sound generally alike.

"Gimme a mothaf----n' break!"
Right. He has made some good songs, but during his time of direction in IIDX, a lot of them were just...blah.

I would also like for DJ Mass MAD Izm* to make an appearance in DDR, whether it be a crossover (preferably Beach Side Bunny) or a new song.

It will get old by 2013, but obviously it just depends on how long the song will be played out not just in radio but if it gets put in music rhythm games of today, it may still go strong for a few more months.

I really don't have a problem with the song, but I can completely understand why a lot of people are starting to get tired of the song as well (very overplayed, since it's now in American radio stations and what not, it's similar to Party Rock Anthem and the fad that came with it).

1. Fewer Exclusives:
I hate it when they keep songs like Max. (Period) exclusive to DDR Extreme Japan home version or other games. To add to that, I would also like them to respawn International exclusives, even if just for the Arcade version.

2. Better USB Support:
Be honest with yourselves, ITG cabinets knew how to favor the community with custom content and wide USB support, and I feel Konami should do the same, as well as improve the in-game editor to be more like Stepmania. As for custom songs, not likely as it could effect copyright issues if found out, and without permission to use licensed tracks under Konami's nose. IMO.

3. More Mods:
ITG had a ton of mods, and I could understand how unnecessary it is to have those mods in a DDR game, but since many of DDR's mods have made it into the main game, why not add some more even though the majority won't use them. (waaste of time I guess).

4. A New Announcer:
The current announcer IMO is quite rather annoying, and a new announcer would be nice, especially if they brought back the old sound files of the MAX-SuperNOVA era announcer, but a different announcer (like the one from PIU) would suffice just as well.

5. Unexpected crossover DDR (whatever Mix) Vs. ITG2:
It sounds really crazy, but if Roxor found a way to partner with Konami for just one game (with Konami doing a majority of the programming and stuff), it could respawn the ITG2 theme, as well as more than 100 ITG songs, plus crossover tracks in both versions, and stepcharts for DDR charts by Roxor, and ITG charts by Konami as a completely hypothetical experiment (I know this will never happen, but I can dream can't I? Plus opinions, some of you will disagree and may think I'm either crazy, or make total sense).

This..makes absolute sense. The two best, biggest dancing games together could make the perfect game IMO.

The only reason I'm worried about this is because both the DDR community, and ITG community are different in terms of their standing on either franchise.

Off-Topic:
My standing on both games IMO is that they both equally offer something to each type of community. IMO, DDR has the better soundtrack, and ITG and has better more challenging charts, but neither game is better than the other, they're just different on how they approach the genre. As for those complaining about PRevo Challenge, It's a boss song. It's not suppose to be easy, it's suppose to be hard as fuck intentionally, plus the fact the combo count equals 753 is also a determining factor in how the stepchart was made. I will have to agree that DEGRS was a bad chart, and was never really a boss chart in the game, but should have been to avoid all this "Oh my god, DEGRS is so unfair!" If it was a boss song, then fewer people would have complained. As for Roxor, those upgrade kits screwed over their chances of continuing the franchise, and although PIU is also an awesome rhythm game, I need to get used to it more to fully appreciate the gameplay is has to offer. Had they sold those upgrade kits for strictly ITG, ITG2, and ITG2 Dedicabs only, this ordeal would have never happened. Then again, I don't know the whole actual story of Konami Vs. Roxor. Other than that, that is how I stand on both franchises, and one of these days, the DDR community and ITG community eventually have to make peace one way or another, even if it takes 15 years to do it.

That's the way I see it anyway.
