I wasn't implying incompatibility; I meant that if he's actually homophobic (and therefore obviously not gay as well) and actually willing to do so, he could probably kill me with his bare hands.

I've literally never talked to him, he doesn't who I am, and I'm not sure if he knows that I've been staring at him at every chance I could for several months now (he did participate in some campaign one club was doing to stop the use of "the r word" so maybe that's a good sign?).

Oftentimes homophobia stems directly from being gay and avoidant of that fact. Or religion.

As much as I'd like to think the former's more common, in my experience it's either the latter, peer pressure or they're parroting their parents.
