Ok i think I need to clarify a few things and list the things that this theme will do.
Features/characteristics/etc:
- coverflow song select (Yes, album art banners. If a traditional banner is used, it's adjusted by a graphic I made for it.)
- X2 grading system
- Combo's will change color just like in X2. (White gold and glowing/MARVELOUS, Gold/PERFECT, GREEN/Great)
- The Full Combo splash will be in there and will change depending on what kind of full combo you get.
- MARVELOUSSTAR will be present.
- Modes include: GAME MODE, OPTIONS, EDIT MODE, COURSE MODE. Hopefully those traditional modes are enough.
- Difficulty ratings will be in "00" format so X -scale and classic scale are irrelevant.
- STARLIGHT DRIVE will function like Replicant D-action but that's all the info I will release about that feature.
I hope that clears up enough. I noticed people asking the same things recently and I hope this will help.

I'm not going to release that information. You'll have to play to find out. However, I can say that it will have some nice rare songs in it. Unlike Konami, I can't commission artists to create original songs for use in this theme like they do.

You should be patient and wait for DDR STARLiGHT's songpack and theme instead of asking for information.

And if this isn't stepping on any toes or anything, is there going to be a community simfile pack released alongside DanceDanceRevolution STARLIGHT, or is it going to be just the theme? There will be a song pack with its set number of boss songs already and it's being worked on already. I'll probably have two download links, one with the songpack and one without, I'm not sure yet.

I was looking for originals since RDa had all new originals and not remixes.

Do you mean add your own song once the theme is out?
EDIT: I just checked, yes you can add your own songs to the STARLIGHT DRIVE system once it's out. I thought you meant submit a song to be included in the STARLIGHT pack.

Has there been a stepmania theme and songpack project that disallowed users to add their own songs?
The ones of the top of my head which is DDRMAX3 and Beware's Stepmania Extreme allowed you to put your own songs in them. And were still not talking of the more elusive ones like XXmix, Foonmix and Strawberry Steps.

awesome! finally my "RDa simfiles" (I used to call it NS-KineTIC) can be used properly as special extra stage...

You may have to take certain measures to do that.
In Beware's SM extreme, you can add a lot of 10-footers or even Paranoia Respect (flashing 10-footer in Party Collection), but only The Legend of MAX and Paranoia survivor MAX will be flashing (logically, the other 10-footers like MAX 300 or Sakura didn't flash despite being 10-footers too).

Yea that's cool with me. You can use the poster or boxart I made if you want. The more exposure STARLIGHT gets, the better.

would be nice if the theme is accompanied by an exclusive pack Starlight DDR songs, so would become more spectacular
