There is so much broken charts or kick ass songs (or both at the same time). How can't you do an edit ? :p

I have mines in my Hero (x-edit) if people didn't saw ;)

Hey, if you decide to do actually do the disney songs for one of the themes (I know it's on the list, but you might forget, or just not do it because there are other themes that you'd rather do), would Phineas and Ferb songs count as Disney?

Well, it's Saturday and I figure most people have submitted their files by now, so I've decided to give my own thoughts on all the simfiles so far. I've decided to not look at any of the usernames for the edits so I could be as honest as I can.

A
Heavy: Did you use a cut of the IIDX version or something? It sounds awful. Also, you really need to fix the step placements, double steps all over the place.

A Brighter Day
Heavy: Not bad at all, my only suggestions would be to not use those little jacks so much and try stepping to more than just the vocals when they're there.

Oni: I really wish you had left it at just the heavy. I have no idea what the 16th are going to half the time (even when I slow down the music). Also, it's crazy hard until the chorus, where it looks easier than the heavy. If there was any part of this song that could use 16th streams, it was in the chorus.

BALALAIKA, CARRIED WITH THE WIND
Heavy: I don't know, this struck me as rather boring. Not because it's easy, but because you didn't really try anything interesting with foot placements. I like the turns during the gallup parts, but everything else is so straightforward that this could easily be rated a 6.

Oni: Okay, you put in some crossovers here, but what's up with those doublesteps in the beginning? I'm also not too fond of those big streams throughout where you constantly have your foot on either the left or right arrow.

Beginning of the End
Heavy: Well, it's a perfect example of an ITG chart. It's hard, but there's absolutely nothing interesting in terms of foot placement so your body is just facing the same way all the time. I guess it's good for people who like this sort of chart.

Oni: What can I say? Basically it's the heavy but harder. Kudos on the one crossover part near the end though.

Chance & Dice
Heavy: Awkward step placements at around measure 12, and 22. Also, the step placements need a lot more variation. Fix those and it will be good, if a bit predictable.

BOOM BOOM DOLLAR
Heavy: It's good, all I can really say about it.

DANCING POMPOKOLIN
Heavy: There are several places toward the end that have some awkward double steps. Fix those and it will be good.

Disabled the FLAW
Heavy: This would be one of my favorites out of the whole pack if it weren't for the unnecessary mines.

Diving
Heavy: When you're stepping to the vocals in the slowdown, it's way offbeat. Also, ew hands. Also a few parts with awkward double stepping and there's a bad case of unvaried step pattern at the end.

Oni: Once again, the slowdown has many offbeat parts. There's also a lot more doublestepping than in the heavy.

Fasincation MAXX
Heavy: Wow, you do realize that there are more patterns than LEFT RIGHT DOWN UP, right? Over 70% of the patterns you use are LEFT RIGHT DOWN UP LEFT RIGHT DOWN UP LEFT RIGHT DOWN UP etc. There's also nothing amazing about the rhythm either.

Hero (2008 X-edit)
Heavy: I like that you use interesting step placements, which is something seriously lacking in this pack. But there are way too many freeze arrows, I don't really like those 32nd parts, and the 16th clusters don't really go to anything.

High School Love
Heavy: I liked it! But there's a few things about the rhythm that kind of irk me, I can't quite put my finger on it.

LOVE THIS FEELIN'
Heavy: Would have been a good chart were it not for those jump streams. I really did not like those.

Oni: Actually liked this more than the heavy, the jump streams weren't all dumb.

MATSURI Japan
Heavy: I liked it, pretty fun looking. No other comments.

MAX 300
Heavy: I'll bet you ANYTHING that this is the same person that made that Fascination MAXX edit. Know how I know? LEFT RIGHT DOWN UP ALL OVER the place.

OUTER LIMITS
Heavy: I liked it except for the jacks in the beginning and a few meh step placements.

Pluto Relinquish
Heavy: I'll bet you ANYTHING that this is the same person that made that MAX 300 edit. Know how I know? LEFT RIGHT DOWN UP ALL OVER the place. I stopped playing 15 seconds in.

Ready Steady Go
Heavy: I really liked this, no other comment :3.

ROCK BEAT
Heavy: Make the giant 8th streams at the beginning and end more varied and it will be good.

SABER WING
Heavy: I don't like those freezes at the beginning at all. The long stream before the slow down needs some more variation.

Oni: It's actually better from the heavy, but I can see parts where you copy+pasted from the heavy.

Scorching Moon
Heavy: I dunno I just...wasn't feeling the rhythm on this song. I really don't know what else to say.

Shades of Grey
Heavy: It's okay, not great. I dunno really what else to say about it.

Oni: Too much copy+paste from heavy and some double stepping at points.

SMOKE
Heavy: Pretty good, but you should add some more crossovers or something to it. It feels a little bland as is.

Stomp to my Beat
Heavy: Classic ITG. 16th streams that don't really go to anything...yay.

Unreal
Heavy: I liked it, no other comment :3.

Why not
Heavy: It was okay up until the musical interlude when it kind of turned into unvaried step patterns with some doublestepping.

Xepher
Heavy: It's good, if a bit predictable. The problem when you make an edit for a song like this is that because this song has been stepped so much and because it has such an obvious beat to follow, it becomes really hard to make a chart that is unique.

Oni: Wow, Look at the 16th jump in the middle of the steam from measure 31-32. Come on now. Again, nothing really unique here...

Anywho, like I said, I didn't look at any of the usernames, so don't take it personally and feel free to rip my edits to shreds.

For Stomp to my Beat, i don't know.

Some part are really fun (even those 16th).
But there is imo some beats off. Not a lot.
With minor corection that could be a great file.
Btw, i liked those 24th on double. I was sad that you did used it on single.
You could have done a great funny 11 why that.

The double chart was interesting. It's maybe an mid 11 not a 12 no ?
The crossover right before the 25th mesure is possible but weird.
There is few part that i didn't liked but overall, the is well stepped.


Also, i don't know what did you have guys against 16th streams if it follows the music.
