No, it should work for both DWI and SM files...
I'm guessing the file can't be parsed by the site I'm sending the SM I'm sending it off to.

The website arcade locations feature is not working correctly. I can upload new locations but the ability to upload new machines at locations or the ability to mark that one has visited that location is not responding correctly. I am observing in Internet Explorer that it indicates there is an "Error on Page" alert in the status tray of the window. I have attempted to use multiple browsers but with the same results.

Weird, on Firefox it works perfectly fine. I'll try it on other browsers now.
Bump: Tested on IE6, IE8, Chrome, and Opera, it's now working fine.
They were getting confused on what "delete" meant in JavaScript. Thanks for finding the bug.

I send the SM file to Nifty DWIs internally and they send it back. I can't fix that unfortunately.

Just got back from 40 years ago. Turns out the 70s aren't as awesome as people make it sound...
Also yesterday I travelled back to the beginning of time. Turns out that the Chinese creation story that the world hatched from an egg was true afterall. Today's scientists simply forgot to carry the one.
