The 'How to Play' video for DDR:X has no mention of Shock Arrows whatsoever. Certainly they should explain shock arrows to beginners, right?
I don't think they will have shock arrows in

Some images cropping up over in 2ch from that private show.
The only question I have is that are we going to have to wait for 1998 hours and .59 weeks counting how many constellations can be made from 321 STARS to experience the impressiveness that DDRX may be? I pray that if we do, it'll be worth it.

Were you actually bored when you wrote this? The game might not come out by (according to your comment) October.
For the mathematically inept, 1998 hours = 83 days, 4 hours; .59 weeks = a little over 4 days. I'm able to do such math in my head because of all the baseball I watch...

Hmm, I don't see a place on the side to put water/keys. You would think DDR would have cupholders by now, haha.
Also even if these "Shock Arrows" are ITG-style mines, the last time a new arrow type was introduced (Max1) there was the Freezes Off mod as well. Besides, DDR has good stepchart makers and I'm very interested in seeing what they can do with a new arrow type.

Konami will most likely announce location tests in Japan in the coming weeks. Once they do that, they will post all the information about which arcades are holding them.

I see. That's cool then. After seeing some of the pictures I was thinking some locations already happened.

I'll have to make some time to go check one out when they are announced.

Ah well...Those were taken from a 'private showing' of DDR:X for vendors. As far as I know, only certain people could get in.

I had originally went with .59 years, but changed it because I thought it was too long. Oh well... I am a bit surprised that you counted that rather quick, though.
Watching baseball since age 7 and taking college math can do that to ya...****ing Calculus

Back on-topic...hopefully, sometime within the next few weeks (or days) we'll get a preliminary songlist for the US home version, which (KO wise) most likely will be in the arcade version.

Cupholders? You people use mere cups? I take 2 1.5 liter bottles to the arcade. One to drain while dancing, the other to drain while resting and biking 10 miles home. Also even if these "Shock Arrows" are ITG-style mines, the last time a new arrow type was introduced (Max1) there was the Freezes Off mod as well. I take a bottle of water with me to cool down during gameplay. Once I'm done though, ramen all the way (I feel like Naruto...).Post #274 · Posted at 2008-07-12 11:34:03am 16.9 years ago

Hopefully the shock arrows are like the foot destructors in HP and not like mines in ITG (in the sense that in HP, you can leave your foot on the arrow, you just cant step on it).

I know how that feels, since I took Calc in high school, and taking it again because I forgot it all in like 3 weeks.>_<
Back on topic again: Is there a different thread for posting songs likely to appear on DDRX? If so, have I got a list idea for KONAMI.;D

Aw, Calculus is fun. I have this routine where whenever I find an empty whiteboard, I go and simplify this one definite integral. It takes like 2 columns to write it all out, but it all works out to pi. Sometimes I would leave it on the board right before the Algebra I class came in, haha.
As for cupholders, I usually bring in a Dasani water bottle and refill it at the loc's water fountain several times. It would be nice to not leave water rings on that side area, but still have it easily accessible. (More importantly though, my loc really needs a better fan... I can't go as long as I want because I get too hot.)

Anyway let's get back on the topic.

I take a 12-20 oz bottle of Gatorade (it could also be Powerade, Propel, such as), and by the time I'm done with my session, I haven't finished it.

Lol, not in math mode anymore?
We can do Algebra too; that was my favorite subject
I sometimes take sports drinks, but they tend to be on the acidic side. It doesn't help when all the bouncing around starts making bubbles in my stomach, and then I have acid burps or something. >>
