When people say they love you, but don't.
When people say they feel when instead they hurt.

Life gets complicated.

"five minute white boy challenge"
hitting the up/down keys to adjust volume and left/right keys to skip a few seconds makes a icon appear like it does when you pause in the middle

who thought of this

who the fuck said this was needed

Approximately nobody asked for this song to be included. Least popular decision by the Japanese since Nintendo released the Wii U.

You subscribe to a lot of the things I listen to at work.

You bloody sexist.

Also I'd probably take Internet Aristocrat off, he moved all his new stuff to Mister_Metokur and now I think he's straight-up given up on vid making because he doesn't find it fun anymore.

All you need is some green and you could probly sell that at yer local arts and crafts store!

Personally, i'm not a fan of the new look. These new colours on accounts feels extremely unnessecary.

Why I think the GiTS live action movie could work: people say the story is very Japanese.
Yeah, it's just about as Asian as Blade Runner or the Matrix. Yes, the anime and manga came out when Japan was the leader in tech. But now, countries like the US has caught up to Japan, so those themes no longer feel uniquely Japanese. And new viewers wouldn't notice the themes in Ghost in the Shell use to be distinctly Japanese, because they no longer are due to many factors.
plus, GiTS was not always Asian in the 1st place. It borrowed a lot from old English philosophy books like Ghost in the Machine.
Plus many anime and manga that were science fiction work in the old days were heavily inspired by other western science fiction works. Also Motoko could wear any body she wants. Just look at her in Man Machine Interface.
EDIT: lol I just stumbled upon this post I don't believe in these values anymore whitewashing is rlly bad and so is the movie, glad it flopped tbh anyways yah lol

I've just noticed that, despite being about a Brazilian dance/music style, Baile le Samba has lyrics in Spanish. And is in a Cuban genre. That REALLY gets on my tits and I don't know why.

The story of Ghost in The Shell is primarily a Japanese story, not universal. While it does borrow from some western works, on its own it is a unique cyberpunk story with deep narrative based in Japan. Motoko Kusanagi is canonically Japanese. You can't just plug in any actor to play the role of Kusanagi and expect them to pull it off seamlessly. If they aren't Japanese then at least be asian, because it makes no sense to have a white actor in a live adaptation fill that role. Why not Rinko Kikuchi? Also, why the hell is Ron Pearlman not playing Bato, he was practically born for this role.

In the end the studios are only concerned about one thing, and that's money, so they don't give a damn about source material or how fans of the series feel, just gotta get that sweet dolla.

I defy you to come up with a better classic TV theme than this.

For anyone interested in Steven Universe, France aired two episode ahead of the US broadcasting schedule (Barn Mates and Hit the Diamond) today, and they are airing Steven Floats tomorrow. They are in English and will be available to download today/tomorrow if you're interested. Won't post any links here, don't want to cause a fuss with those.

EDIT: They're up on Kisscartoon apparently. Thought they would wait for it to air in the states first.

I mentioned something in the chat not too long after it happened, but I experienced a drive-by shooting today. Don't know the logistics or scenario, but 4 bullet holes hit the front of the house I'm staying in, one of them directly below my window I normally sit in front of. If I hadn't gone downstairs to bitch about my brother to my landlord/downstairs neighbor, Sigrev2 here would've Sigstopped, if you catch my drift.
Needless to say, I'm a bit shaken up. Probably should've left for a few days, but I'm gonna tough it out. Nobody could or would be stupid enough to try shooting up the same place multiple times, right?
Right?

Oh wow, I hope this turns out to be a one-off. Were the police contacted? Is there any clue as to who was the intended target? I wish you the best of luck in this situation.

The police were contacted and arrived 2 minutes after the events took place. No one knows anything about the situation outside of the shooter riding in a silver Nissan. The driver, more than likely male, seems to have been shooting at someone who was walking down the street, possibly a female. This is all from loose strands of what I've overheard, and might not be what happened at all. Police had to come into my room and carve the bullets out of my wall (one of the bullets ended up hitting into the wall near my closet, another was, as mentioned, underneath my window.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ci_YkeTW0AQkCYZ.jpg
Here's an image I took from my room, police markers along the road.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ci_Yl0eW0AAgEz4.jpg
Another image, not the greatest unfortunately, to show that the police did show up.
I did not take images of the bullet holes on the front of the house just yet, but I intend to do that before work tomorrow.

Well it depends on who you pissed off. But in all seriousness I hope you're okay Anony, cause that is some messed up shit. It seems from your post above this that someone must've hired someone to put a hit on his wife/ex-wife or girlfriend/ex-girlfriend.

My description of every note type. The useless ones have silly descriptions.

4th - The classic note. Used in every chart, it is very hard to find a chart that does not use one.
8th - The note that comes after 4th, can be used at 1/2 a beat. Useful in easy and medium charts.
12th - The first triplet. Some songs have a certain rhythm where a lot of those have to be used.
16th - Useful in harder charts and most trills/patterns. Also very common in gallops.
24th - For the more complex, faster swing beats/rhythms.
32nd - Used as if they were 16ths in a slowdown, or at a faster rhythm at normal speed.
48th - For very quick swinging rhythms, not so commonly used.
64th - Only common in slowdowns, or where they are needed. Not very common in charts under a 9.
96th - How do you add these? Just use the 192nd snap and add a note every two beats!
128th - Do you think you have what it takes to float around in the air?
192nd - The highest note resolution, very rarely used.
256th - My good looks are ruining people's lives, and I really don't know why.
384th - Sorry but this chart is in another cabinet...
512th - We still use 320x240 resolution!
768th - You want an explanation? A picture is worth a thousand words.
1536th - My chest really hurts...

I was talking about the 1995 film. The points you made are describing about the manga.

But whatever, I care about the script moreso than the race of character that is not important to her character.

"that's crazy"
Okay, random question. No shit posting intended. I'm an idiot, I called myself an idiot before any of you did.

I know I'm a 19 (ALMOST 20) year old, who should've studied my Science classes better, but...there was a time, 5 years ago, when my mother once told me "Eating uncooked/raw meat immediately gives you a tape worm" and....I was wondering if that was true or not?

Today, my friend offered me "Steak tartar" and I declined, because I'm scared of eating raw meat.
