You consider a song that runs at 342BPM easier than a song that runs at 220BPM?
Don't get so caught up on BPM. Outer Limits is fairly easy considering there are several places where it "lets up". In fact, the few 8th streams in that song are the only thing keeping it at boss-chart level.
NEPHILIM DELTA, on the other hand, almost never lets up save for a break in the middle.

@maxpowr90 Thanks for embedding my video, btw!
But now that I think about it, Outer Limits EDP seems more straightforward than Nephilim Delta EDP as well in that I don't have to turn my hips too much (aside from the beginning). The 8th streams, however . . .
I still think it's a low 15, though.

Konami's ratings have always taken the speed of a song into account. MAX 300 is a 15 because it runs at 300BPM. If that same chart were played at 220, it would be a 13.
(No, not Cmodding, actual BPM rate. Though Cmodding MAX 300 to 220 would definitely make it less strenuous)

I'm not sure you understand that C-mods don't make the steps any less fast, just the scroll rate. Of course MAX 300 is a 15 because of the product of its steps and speed; every song's difficulty is a product of those. If you made KEEP ON LIFTIN' 600 BPM, it'd be freaking insane.

I still probably wouldn't play it.

That must've been why I said "No, not Cmodding"

I wasn't referring to scroll rate, I was referring to having those steps played at 220BPM. Like making a MAX 300 edit chart for NEPHILIM.
Again, Konami takes the BPM seriously when rating songs, I don't think there's been a time when they didn't. Now speed changes and stops... It's like they rate the songs before those even go in.

Aww poop. Gone for a few days and I miss being the tie breaker (or tie re-maker?) for R&P. I guess better luck next year when someone else inevitably does this again

No, you'd consider a song that runs mostly full beats at 342 BPM easier than a song with (hellaciously fun-looking!!) twisted half-beat crossovers at 220 BPM. In fact, it'd be more like playing the easier parts of OUTER LIMITS at 440.
I'd give it a solid 14-rating; because as far as endurance goes, it looks rather roughly equal to 888; but 888 has a few more technical sections (the occasional 1/12s, the slowdown in the middle; and in case you haven't played it in awhile, it has generous amounts of turns and crossovers in it as well).
That said, I am suddenly ~really~ looking forward to the next DDR version we end up getting here. Hopefully it'll go fully multiplatform again.

Rumor on Twitter is that it was announced at Ryu's launch party for Rainbow Rainbow that アルストロメリア and London EVOLVED were announced as future unlocks for DDR X3.
Still no confirmation on this, so we'll have to wait and see if it turns out to be true.

Yes, yes it does.
The thing about ND is that it's Encore Extra Stage. I mean, it isn't a really hard song in and of itself, but if you screw up one of those crossovers, it's gonna be pretty tough to recover before the next arrow. I think it deserves a 15 on the first few tries, especially because of EEC. But once you've got those crossovers down and it's unlocked for normal play, ND is more of a high 14.

the crossovers near the end are the hardest part because i would assume most people's first reaction would be to hit it with the wrong foot, making the whole thing really awkward and not flow at all.

I hope it's true. アルストロメリア sounds like a fun song and so is London EVOLVED.
I'm still wondering when the next 17/18 song will appear, though.
[All London EVOLVED
