I think the "AA a song level 8 or higher" was from Supernova or Supernova 2. Max- extreme were just "AA a heavy song."
Extreme it's 8 or higher or a Challenge chart.

I don't think that's what he's implying. I also don't agree with his logic.

I think it's a big Duh that Konami rates their songs based on playing standing up and without using mods. Even so, I still can't call either chart a 15.

What? On Extreme it was just AA any song on Heavy or Challenge

I highly doubt it because I would AA Look to the Sky on final and would not get ES. I think you can AAA any song to get it too.

Anyway I must be the only one who thinks NEPHILIM DELTA is a 15. Steps like that at 220 BPM will drain you pretty quick. Also 220 is a speed not many DDR players are use to.

Strange, I've not played Extreme longer then I thought

Anyway back on topic, I wonder if there's no RDA mode this time. Maybe the boss song unlocks are SN2 style. Confused

After watching the first video where the player failed at a certain point, I thought it was a 14, though after seeing the rest of the chart I think it's reasonable to say it's a 15. Those crossovers, afronova walks and jackhammers after the long pause look pretty draining.

I'm still hoping that the successor to R-D-A will be revealed as the final unlock in this Extra Rush system.

I had to watch the chart again... Where do you see AFRONOVA in there?

Playing on the floor in front of my computer, the entire chart is technical. It never turns you, not even to the side. The hardest part (for me) is the streaming jackhammers. The only other thing I can think of that would trip people up is the switching crossovers. If you start on the right foot (correct foot, not necessarily your right Tongue) they are, again, completely technical and don't really involve turning.

"X scale 20"
I agree that Nephilim Delta could be a 15, but it is on the low end. It's on the border between 14 and 15.

I made this from the simfiles here on ZIv so you can see the step difficulty side by side. It's amazing what a difference 80BPM can make.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
The difference being that NEPHILIM DELTA has a lot of crossovers and AFRONOVA walks (they are there, check after the short period with no steps towards the end) while MAX 300 is a fairly straightforward chart in terms of foot placement. Not necessarily saying that MAX 300 is as hard as NEPHILIM DELTA, but I think that people should think about technicality, as its something that is sometimes overlooked when watching a video as opposed to playing the actual chart.

They do. In addition to that, they are more draining than standard stepping. Comparing the two charts, I think I'd find myself getting about as tired playing one as the other. Whereas Max 300 has parts where I can "step lightly" and recover a bit, Nephilim Delta really doesn't past the beginning.

Someone mentioned Arrabbiata Expert (14) being very similar to this chart - I agree. Whereas Arrabbiata derives most of its difficulty from jumps and crossovers, Nephilim Delta derives its' from stream and crossovers, but it gives some pretty good breaks in between sets. Arrabbiata peaks at a higher difficulty, though. Very close in difficulty... 888 Expert (14) seems about the same, too, but a little less intense. I can see the step from 888 to Nephilim Delta being the step from 14 to 15, but it's harder for me to justify Arrabbiata being a 14 if Nephilim Delta is a 15. Both would likely eat "13-capable" players alive, while 888 is a little more forgiving.

Edit: Arrabbiata is a 15! My bad. Leaving the original post untouched to represent my prior ignorance and unfounded angst.
