Now if only that option actually turned the announcer off. It doesn't in X, it doesn't in HP2. He's still there on mode select, song select, and results.

Has the announcer ever actually hindered anyone's skill while playing?

I think the announcer and cheering makes the experience much better. Playing ITG feels like serious business.

ITG IS serious business, though fun can be had too with that game

But yeah, the DDRX announcer I can tolerate IF HE DIDN"T SING DURING PLAY

I think the idea of an announcer and the cheering is great, However recently it has been overdone *cough cough*. Seriously though i couldnt see anybody deciding on buying this game because of the announcer so what does it really matter

I'm officially buying the game and mat bundles for the Wii and XBOX 360. What's missing here from my previous lists? Oh yeah, THE PS2 VERSION! Little improvement shown in graphics, backgrounds, gameplay, and besides, X2? Really? Yeah, I'll pass. Battle you guys on Wi-Fi and XBOX Live when I finally hook it up XD

Am I missing something, or is the PS2 the only console which has a pad on which boss songs are even vaguely playable?

I dunno, I think X2 has the best theme out of all of the games. I love how the songwheel and menus look. Of course, it will lack dance routines, which won't be very entertaining.

Personally I quite like the 360 pad.

You can get a PS2->GC adapter to use with the Wii. I have done this myself. What I haven't done is see if the Xbox line from the control box works on a 360.
On this topic, has anybody successfully made a CF work on a PS3? I'm just wondering. I still have no plans to get any version of this game, for any platform.

I would rather not have to listen to some robotic autotuned voice tell me how large my combo is, or that THIS ISN'T A GOLF TOURNAMENT WE'RE DANCING COME ON etc.
