They're both one rating higher than their originals. I guess the steps can't be too butchered up from the regular.
Edit: Can you now use mods for Encore Extra Stage? I just now noticed that the player has it set to 3x.

At least we can count on them having no shock arrows. If they were in the chart, we would see the shock arrow help message.

I guess the talk about a new Healing Vision might be an X-Special as well! And perhaps a MaX-Special lol! I'd love to see the Paranoia and Trip Machine X-Special charts though... Any videos of them yet?

I'm also dying to see the charts for Koko Soko, Polyrhythm and Tabibito too though, there are no videos of them either now right? I have to be patient! lol

I'm not completly sure, but it looks as though Paranoia (X special) is unlocked by by choosing RANDOM for Final Stage.
I don't know what to make of the part where in mentions Final Stage, DDR 1st mix, and lowest difficutly.

You have to meet the conditions to make the exclusive FINAL STAGE song to appear, then play a song on RANDOM and AA/AAA it. There's a question on whether one of the songs you play before FINAL STAGE must be one from the DDR 1st folder. When the conditions are met, the song appears in the DDR 1st mix folder.

My guess is correcting arrows. Kind of like what they did in SN2 with SuperNOVA songs like Ballad For You and I'll Make Love to You.

I find it funny how everyone was ready to throw stones and call DDR X an instant failure, just add licenses. And this is just the BEGINNING. I'm going to go around poking some eyes out if I see any single person who was whining on December 24th say that this mix is the greatest.

Well, X still isn't without its problems. The biggest thing for me is the announcer...>_>. And the lack of BEMANI content for the most part.
By the way, it may interest people to note that Ryu* and Akira Yamaoka are mentioned in the Special Thanks section of the DDR X credits, and they were both non-existent in the SN2 credits. Crossover songs perhaps?

The thing is, if they had more Bemani cross overs, we'd get more bad song edits and potential step charts failed.
I noticed on both X Specials, either the BPM's are hidden or there are speed ups/slowdowns added. I wonder if this is more than a step edit?

Well, they're only hidden cos it's on EXTRA STAGE and ENCORE EXTRA STAGE. Remember that they don't always have BPM changes, like on the bounce.
