...I lost my female best friend just now. We known eachother since the day I saved her from bullies in 2012. I didn't think this day would come. I'm devastated. I didn't think she'd hate this woman I talk to.... I've lost my mind. I don't know what to do.

Today may be my birthday (in my timezone, that is), but sadly that doesn't seem to stop me from acting like a total jerk due to my autism making me lack sympathy for others. No, really.

Here's a recap of what's happened today. I didn't get a lot of the presents I had on my list; I mean, I had most of them coming from Play-Asia. I even got an extra amiibo of Kicks (from Animal Crossing; yes, I play amiibo Festival. don't ask me why, though) for some reason. I then went through an eye exam in Lynnwood, then went to Red Robin for birthday lunch; my combined hunger and the fact that it was loud in there got me a headache. I then took a nap for a few hours just to shrug off the headache, and also because I was tired as heck.

After the nap, my mom and I decided to pick up the Wii U version of LEGO Dimensions since I had two things that work with it on my birthday list. It's a shame that the instruction manuals that are provided tell you to play the game so it gives you the rest of the instructions, though. Why would they do that? It feels like a slap in the face to those who don't own the game.

tl;dr: even if it's my birthday, I'm still having a rough spring break.

I'm sorry you've had a rough birthday and a rough spring break. I do want to say this though - only you can choose to feel how you feel during your spring break. Whatever happens, keeping an open mind certainly helps.

About you feeling like a jerk - I'm guessing (or at least I hope) it wasn't a good feeling for you and that you want to work on it, which is why you mentioned that. If not, you can ignore what I'll write here. Perhaps you want to ask yourself what it was that made you react in a certain way, and if it were to happen to you again, what you would do? Maybe you can give this a try sometime - re-enact what happened today in front of a mirror, and then practice how you would behave in that situation again. Naturally, after enough times, it would come to you. If it doesn't, don't feel bad! We're only human, after all.

I agree those instruction manuals are bizarre. But I promise you'll be over it soon. You can always look up videos on how to play and things like that if you ever need to.

Thanks, guys... you're all awesome. I think I'm fine this quickly... "I'm a survivor, I'm a believer." But yeah... I'm at a loss of words, as you can read. lol....I think I'm still mentally unstable and emotionally unstable atm. It'll take time though to recover, though.

I'm sorry to be late to the condolence party, hamsand210, but I definitely feel with you. I lost two of my best (female) friends from middle school over the last few years, who really formed my joys, my hopes, my jealousy, and my self-hatred. I was devastated when they decided to leave me (one before the other), but really, the important thing is to look at yourself and look at how your friend is treating you; if your friend left you for a trivial matter, then it's really more a fault of hers, not on you. Either way, just don't harm anyone else or yourself.

I also find it strange that it's a bunch of guys consoling you for a loss of a female friend. Part of me wishes a female user could also come offer emotional support for you.
