The Official DDR Accomplishments Thread (Read first post, NO STEPMANIA OR ITG)

35 cents per credit?! That's 7 cents per song, and even if it were only 3 stages it would be less than 12 cents per song.
The nearest machine to where I live is like two hours away and $1 for 3 songs (~33 cents per song). And I've seen one before that was $2 for 4 songs (50 cents per song).

All my machines are 50cents for 4 songs just because both myself and the place I work at supports the community of players.

I decided to just go through the numbers and undertake the task of cleaaring all charts on all levels to see where my skills drop off and figure out what I need to play to start improving again. Pleasantly surprised by how accurate I can be when I put enough focus into it:

These are all just one try, first pass through the list sorted by difficulty. I've probably played some of the charts before but it would have been a few years if I have. I'm definitely on the cusp of being a PFC player on Expert, so once I'm done clearing almost everything on the lower difficulties I hope to have learnt something about how to step and start knocking the easier ones out. While I'm here:

It has been a long time since I posted in here but that is mostly because nothing that great was getting done. I knocked out some EXTREME AAA's and moved to 3rd Mix Korea Version 2. I mostly went back to play Double charts but I did end up knocking out one Single chart on my return which made me feel really damn good since its been so long since I got any Single chart on any Mix. Anyways here is what I got on this 3rd Mix run...

AAA#1043 - SHOCK (Double SSR)
ehhhh... Lacking compared to the other 3rd KV2 charts.

AAA#1044 - 가까이 (Double SSR)
Amazing chart.


AAA#1045 - GIMME GIMME (Single SSR)
That last 16th goes WAY faster then the song. It was what usually messed me up when I played.

AAA#1046 - Starian (Double SSR)
VERY VERY wonky timing wise. You need to adjust your timing several times during the chart. Was very frustrating to play just to get Greats at the start of the second half.


AAA#1047 - 호기심 (Double SSR)
Probably has one of the toughest starts to a chart I have played on Double thus far, especially no bar. One of the pad transitions is really long and fast so I actually had to hold the bar for a few arrows just to make the transition. It's pretty nuts, check out the video to see me be a cheater!


AAA#1048 - STRICTLY BUSINESS (Double Trick)
Actually a REALLY fun chart and probably one of my favorites Double charts thus far. Because Trick is the highest difficulty given to this song on Double I decided to count it towards my score tracking. It's one of the very few instances I will ever do this.


AAA#1049 - 아름다운 21C (Double SSR)
I still can not get this on Single... But somehow I managed to get the WTF Double chart instead. Like seriously... 80% of the chart is jumps. Like 3rd KV2 is notorious for lots of jumps but this one is pretty ridiculous when it comes to placements and just the amount of them.


AAA#1050 - ROSE (Double SSR)
Pretty fun chart and probably one of the only 3rd KV2 songs that is REALLY close to being dead on sync the entire song besides Shock.

@Kon: I'm envious that you can still play 3rd Mix Korean. I was very young when I touched a 3rdMix Korean V2 and only focused on freestyle gameplay during the year 2000s.

I got Keep on Movin' (DMX remix) and Dub-I-Dub X-edit , but I'm too lazy to put up the pictures atm.

The real accomplishment is that I can FPC anything after not playing for 3 months, my accuracy is so bad now (and it wasn't great before haha), so anything seems like a fluke.

What a coincidence; I haven't played in over three months either, though it is due to a lack of arcade machines in my area and not being able to play in general.
But now that I'm studying abroad in Singapore for the next several months, I finally got another PFC.

I should also add that I passed Pluto the First on a US X2, that's probably an accomplishment on multiple levels (not wanting to quit halfway, dealing with the chart, the pads...)

That was actually not at West Mall; that was a different X3 that likely has worse pads than West Mall's (I'd consider myself lucky that I got a PFC on that machine). But thanks anyway!

@Silverhawke Really close. And that means I can continue making videos too! And the one I always go to is like, THE spot for me. It's not too crowded most of the time, it's a fairly small arcade so I don't have to worry about my stuff getting stolen, I can charge my cameras there, and the staff barely goes up there unless it's very crowded or when they shut the games off. But they don't even care that I record. (unlike GAY and Busters) It's a freakin' restaurant after all. And if I don't feel like going to that one I can make vids on campus instead. And their SN machine is in great shape when I did a college visit. I'm so glad I have places to play DDR because I do not wanna stop playing. I improved so much and I wanna keep going forward.
