Double play (8 panel) is common in Japan, though, even among the non-hardcore crowd, but that is beside the point.

But yeah, Konami is always in a bind with their own fanbase. The majority of players are not uber-hardcore or skilled players and are perfectly happy with low-mid range songs. There are still a number of people really having trouble AAing Amalgamation and that isn't really anything to write home about difficulty-wise. On the other end of the scale whenever they put in a bunch of 17s-19s like with the RDA stuff on X2, they make for great opportunities to show off for the *maybe* two dozen or so players in the country really good at them but they alienate the majority of their fan base.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a cheap thrill to do really well even at something like a 14 in a huge crowd of relatively less-experienced players to blow their mind or something and I like the rush of getting another PFC despite having a metric crapload of them already.

Okay, a lot of buzz around mixi and the blogs is going on with the new EES but the opinion is all the same, best summed up at Bemaniwiki : "It is like 888 with just the 8th streams. It is pretty fast but there are 2 places that are relative breaks to catch your breath. There is no problem calling this one a 14. The only reason this could be called a 15 is because of the no-miss rule for the EES"

I guess konami's reasoning is that 888 heavy was 8th streams with mid-level crossovers, so since this is 8th streams with a few afronova walks and some jumpsteps thrown in that it can count as a 15. Yeah, it's probably going to go down a notch in X4. Good song though, always happy to see more 220bpm songs.

...that's all i got to say really, like the chart and song but so far it's kind of in luke water in terms of the timing of the unlock. Still though, nice to see the game getting kick started back with new content, can't disagree with that

I'm slightly disappointed in the step chart because it definitely doesn't live up to the difficulty of Unbelievable. However, the song is still pretty amazing and I'll give it a shot next time I visit the arcade. I really hope that it has a challenge chart unlocked at a later time because it sounds like it would perfectly fit some 16th bursts here and there.

Does anyone know if DDR X3 will have RDA at a later time? That's something I really miss from X2 and I thought it was really cool. Unless I'm completely wrong and DDR X3 does have RDA, I don't know. Maybe someone can point me into the right direction?

S- definitely lacks last 3-4 notes, with a long freeze at the end obviously.

I'd say the closest comparison to NEPHILIM DELTA ESP is probably Arrabbiata ESP, and Arrabbiata is definitely harder. 14' it is. I don't think the EDP chart is really even a 14', let alone a 15' - the patterns are too straightforward, especially against things like going up and HVAM (which are slower, but more complicated).

Both charts have a "dumbed-down" feeling to them, though...I'm gonna wager that CSP and CDP will both be 19's (well, at least rated 19's )

Imo the chart is a mid-high 14 (talking about single, i din't found a video for double. No i can't access to nico's ^^').
And please, don't compare this to HVAM shittinest. At least, Nephilm delta has a lot of interesting crossovers and patern. HVAM has 3 crossovers and 25 doublesteps (a bit less if you turn at 196bpm on 8th arrows).

Even if it's only 8th arrows, 220bpm non stop + crossovers make them drainning. No, it's not a 15. A good 14 but that's it.

I am hopping a challenge difficulty comes about and makes all these songs have more difficult charts, because these are pretty lame for "boss" songs. Not bad songs, just nothing compared to the songs in RDA or the boss songs from DDR SN2.

RDA boss songs seemed a bit gimmicky, compared to what we are seeing in this mix. There were so many ways to define each replicant song from each other, even just in the step charts. Here, not so much.

Glad to see new stuff, but I will agree with everyone and settle on that being a 14. Definitely not a 13; it's really draining and is a pure stamina run at that speed, but that's all it is. KONAMI really seems to have forgotten what the higher ratings are supposed to be. Haunted Rhapsody and Amalgamation are 13s, and now NEPHILIM DELTA is a 14. A solid, difficult 14, for sure. I suppose we can call it a 15 with sudden death on, but knowing its rating won't change when normally unlocked makes that a moot point.

I really like the double chart. It's physically draining, but has potential showoff potential, much like HVAM. I'll have to agree with most everyone, that this chart is definitely not a 15, its too bare to deserve that rating.



I second this. With the emptiness that was felt in Amalgamation and Nephilim Delta as boss-type charts, I'm sure the additional difficulties would be added in a course in future unlocks. Come to think of it and slightly off topic, but does X3 have dance drill courses or were they removed?

Also, I'm digging the cover art for Nephilim Delta.

EDIT: Based on the video Pandy embedded of NEPHILIM DELTA ESP, the person made it to 572 combos. (1 off!) What do u think the full combo is based on that #? I think 595.
