Except that last part. Universe 3 had a solid songlist (obviously bad songs aside).

Overall, though, this is somewhat of a rebranding of DDR (since X's urban vibe didn't appeal well and Ultramix/Universe were hardly worked into the main series), albeit a bit too drastic. I do enjoy the "universal" concept, although I would have designated the "core songlist" differently and incorporated more unique qualities into each edition. One thing that concerns me a little is the large selection of U.S. licenses. Konami always ends using some unsuitable tracks when they do that (refer to Ultramix 3 and SN2 US; European licenses on Dancing Stage tended this way, although awkward selections didn't stick out when licenses were only 4s and 5s). That, and I always leaned towards other Bemani songs and UM/UNI comissions as opposed to the "main" DDR in-house artists. I might just wait for the DLC.

Konami has just updated theirTGS game site with no mention of DDR in their games list, although most of the games are not yet revealed. But, Konami's pulled one of their classic screw-ups, hosting the image files of the games that are listed as "COMING SOON" on the website already.












Interestingly, if you keep going on for 4 more pics, it gives you gray squares up until number 15. However, from the looks of it now, there will be no DDR shown at TGS.

Guy from a PR Firm with the task of promoting DDR for the PS3/360 has let slip the European release date to be somewhere in Spring 2010. So at least they're doing SOMETHING. That's better than last year. Also their site reveals they're promoting Karaoke Revolution and pop'n rhythm.

Yeah you are 100% right there... Still i feel like i little kid saying this, Theres just something to say about getting only one game versus 3.

But sometimes less is more so who knows, the two things im praying for are to have all those songs be awesome, and that not be the final list

Good licenses, but what this game really needs is some revivals of great DDR songs over the years. (Venus, DoLL, etc.) What I'm wondering is that if the list will stay the same for Japan. And I know that's gonna be RARE, but it's a possibility this year.

Although i would like to tear down your belief on those revivals, the addition of Baile La Samba on X2 DOES raise some questions...a song from SN AND a SN CS release coming back? Hmmmm
