A bit unlikely, but with Pop N' Music I don't think it would matter if it was éclale or not, I mean they do run SOUND VOLTEX GRAVITY WARS so who knows?

This year they'll have those again but with PENDUAL and Dance Evo updated to the latest firmware update.
Pop N's always been a bit weird, most of the times when I go to conventions with Bemani Invasion/Tokyo Attack the version is either the latest one, the one before, or the current one. So I'll say maybe 50/50 chance éclale will be there, you guys will just have to find out for yourselves I guess

I'm pretty sure last year was Spada. As for DDR, they had a DDR 2013 running offline, and a DDR Extreme/In The Groove Cabinet.

I had a dream the other night that there was a DDR game with an unlock system like Dance Master Mode but it was like a Metroidvania; there were 8 areas that you could play through all at once but with varying difficulty. It just makes me miss Dance Master Mode :<

I miss Dance Master Mode too. Honestly, that's what I look forward to in console releases.An idea like that would be pretty awesome. I like modes that provide branches (Extreme 2/X2) over more linear ones (SuperNOVA 2/X), so to be able to choose which mission to complete first is a great feature.
Then again, modes that provide branches (EX2/X2) often come with more annoying challenges than others (get between 8.5m and 8.6m points/get a Marvellous Full Combo to name a few) so it all evens out, eh?

well, EX was pretty linear and that has some of the most annoying challenges in the entire series

Yes! 4thMix and Extra Mix had Challenge Mode which were basically the precursor to the mission mode in Extreme and the Ultramix/Universe games. Extra Mix is also responsible for this atrocious edit chart that the game forces you to full combo as the final mission.
Other highlights:
-a "get 0 points" mission that ALSO forces you to keep your health above a certain percentage
-the final mission of 4thMix requires you to get 220 combo on a song but fails you if you hit left and right more than 50 times combined

oh wow. I had a dream the other night that me & my best friend's cousin were arguing about whether DDR Extreme or Supernova was better, and then my best friend's little brother did a really bad Pingu (this claymation penguin character who speaks gibberish and says NUG NUG a lot) impression and smacked me. I woke up after that. And while all this happened, WORLD COLOR from Pop'n Music Sunny Park played in the background.

TBH weren't literally ALL "story/mission/quest/ass" modes in DDR annoying as hell? I can't think of one that didn't have a handful of bullshit mission requirements.

So I ordered a PS2 from Japan. (as I stated on the chat)
There's 3 Japanese DDR's I really want (Max 1, Party Collection, and Str!ke), but I don't have the money to get all 3. Which one DDR would YOU suggest me to get, out of those 3? ....or is there another PS2 JP DDR, besides those 3, that you think I should get?
EDIT: Subtract Strike from the choices. I just loved it for the Ultramix 2 Crossovers. Which of the 2 /Japanese/ DDR's would you suggest me to get, out of DDR Max 1 or DDR Party Collection?
