My First submission for Girls Week!


From Dancemania SuperClassics #1! My goal for this file was to create a file that would be difficult to distinguish from the other songs of Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Mix. (HERO, and to a lesser extent, BOOM BOOM DOLLAR, were specific inspirations for this file.) It's probably a lofty goal, and there's more stuff that I crammed into the file that would be applicable for any 'classic-era' song (e.g. having both a challenge and beginner chart, though the latter I put since the US console release of Dance Dance Revolution seems to have beginner charts for its songs,but hopefully this file doesn't do too terrible a job, and it should help explain most of the quirks within this file! The heavy chart should be straightforward, but the challenge chart is meant to be a slightly awkward 4th Mix PLUS type of chart that begins with unmarked footswitches or spins, depending on how you play it. (The heavy chart for the 6-Panel is essentially what I would have created without stipulations, sans freeze arrows.)

Expect my votes on Saturday/Sunday, possibly Monday (before the deadline).

Also... Damn, only 14 files for week 2 so far? I was sure there would be way more than that, especially since this theme seems much easier than week 1's...

I actually thought week 1's theme was easier because there was still plenty of room to choose any song you knew. I guess it would've been harder to pick if you tried staying within the sphere of BEMANI/rhythm game music and the likes, but there are definitely a lot of artists out there that ZIv users haven't touched upon yet. Although yeah, I'm a bit surprised too; I might submit one more for this week depending on the turnout.

There's always a fairly large drop-off after the first week. Even so, a lot of people don't submit until the last day.

Not sure if I'll be able to vote. My internet mysteriously broke and since I don't "own the account", Mediacom refuses to tell me how to fix it. Also can't upload a file by Monday or maybe not next Monday for that matter. Depends on a lot of factors.

I took the first week off since I didn't have the willpower to go through so many files, and I didn't really have a good song anyway.

Truth be told I had a really shitty week so hopefully this chart doesn't continue that trend. That being said I'm lacking a witty description so, uh, here you go.
