Dancing Stage SuperNOVA2 (PS2) (Europe)

Wind It Up, Suddenly I See and Unbelievable added to the list of confirmed songs.

We're at a count of 60 songs so far, the Italian KONAMI site says there will be 70+ songs in the game. Let's hope the remaining 10+ are different licenses or new KOs. Pfft. Fat chance of that happening though.

Ironically, how you can describe Konami's handling of this game.

OK updated the Game Database. Ironically, 53 of the 60 songs we might be getting are new to PS2 for Europe.

well it's just that new licenses tend to suck. some are good it's just that most are bad.

even though i don't live in Europe I feel angry that Konami (as of right now) is releasing a game 1 year after the US release and looks pretty much the same except for a few licenses. and the case for SN2 Europe? Yuck! This will really drive away potential customers. It doesn't fit either! Like come on! Pink background with blue logo!? is konami colour blind? konami is making very very very bad decisions right now.
Konami has already made 4 mistakes (as I can recall of) that made the Europe and North American DDR players angry.
My advice to Konami: Stop treating the countries outside of Japan like trash

I had a feeling the songlist in the EU version would be largely identical to the US version, but this is ridiculous. I expected Unbelievable and Suddenly I See to be in the game (partly due to the songs' popularity in Europe (specifically the UK)). Almost a year later and you guys get the same game we got, with minor alterations of course.

EDIT: hey, al2k4...is it me, or the "Preview Now!" button not working? For the past 2 days, I've been unable to preview my post so I can correct any errors.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if the song list remains exactly as it is now.

Which will take all of 3 seconds for Konami Europe to rip up and toss in the bin.

Max was how our home versions should have been in the first place. It shouldn't have been groundbreaking for Konami to give us what we deserved to begin with and it's actually embarrassing that we had to praise Max for finally doing it right.

I'm OK with Le Freak, besides I'd rather have one extra licence than one less.

I've enjoyed pretty much all of the licences Konami have given us. See, I'm one of those crazy players who doesn't fap over only having Dancamania or J-Pop, I actually like cheesy European pop hits such as stuff by Girls Aloud, Steps and the Sugababes. I also love the licences by artists which I'm not as aware of like Pandora, Alcazar and Scooch. I even like many of the licences America gets and am a firm believer that we should have had songs like Heaven and Sandstorm ages ago, and I could have happily had Extreme 2 with Dancing Stage Max stamped on the box because I like it's licence list so much.


Lol. You'd be surprised how popular pink is here in the UK. Pink phones, pink laptops, pink PS2's, pink Nintendo DS's... pink EVERYTHING. I guess Konami are just following the trend?

Because we aren't Japan, that's why. We have a different culture, a different taste in music and we like different things. Konami go for what sells and what they think will make money in each region. Japan is a small and dedicated gaming country, plus it's where a majority of games are made so they are obviously going to look after there own. America are safe because of it's size and large potential for sales. The UK is smaller and Europe is vast and too much of a mixed bag of cultures to cater for properly.
