I'd like an announcer similar to the IIDX menu announcers. A distorted subtle voice that only says stuff when you select certain things, doesn't shout phrases at you and doesnt talk during gameplay.

I like the sound of that. Before DDR X came along, having the announcer was fine and never got in the way. Now with the new announcer, it's just annoying. I'd like to see a IIDX-Esq announcer in DDR as well.

I thought of the Hottest Party/DDR II announcer as a worthy successor, unlike the disaster that is X-X3's announcer. Dead

It's true the Hottest Party announcer is pretty good, and definitely better than the X announcer.
It would be fun to hear the announcer announce the names of the songs before they start, because with 500+ songs in the Ac versions, some of them would have to be hilarious.

Scotty Dolph is no longer with Konami. He left after Supernova came out which I believe is when the Hawaii studio closed but not sure on that.

When Konami revived some classic licenses for Dance Evolution, I was kind of hoping they would make their way to DDR along with some of the new ones in the AC.

Such a shame that Night of Fire has an awesome dance routine but a crappy Heavy chart.

It really is a shame this didn't happen for II. I would have played Zeta more just to hear the announcer say its ridiculously long subtitle.

Also we would finally know the official pronunciations of some songs, like for example AA or 888.

Wasn't the DDRMAX to SN2 announcer Londell Hicks? Last I heard, he's already working for Square-Enix during the time of DDR X.

"now led_light for short"
Any announcer is better than the X announcer; I think we all agree on that.

But you know what DDR II desperately needs? Edit Mode. So that I can play London Evolved's new Challenge charts.

Some more stuff for the next console version:
-leaderboards (filtered so that it counts only scores from pads, not controllers)
-the ability to share edits online (assuming edit mode is re-implemented)
-online multiplayer of some sort?
-maybe some kind of "DDR Academy" mode that teaches everything there is to learn in DDR from the fundamentals (Don't return to the center!) to advanced step patterns [Let's face it. Tutorial mode recently is pretty much useless.]

You do realize that "Little Bitch" was from the original DDR, and since 2ndMIX mode was introduced in DDR X3 Vs 2ndMIX, it got revived from the 2ndMIX songlist, although I really want to see Strictly Business again when someone can get that song license and put it in a DDR game.

Features I believe should be added:
-An Arcade style mission mode (similar to PIU).
-A more flexible Stepmania style step editor.
-The ability to create custom courses using an online program.
-Better, and wider USB support.
-DLC music packs (could vastly expand the game's soundtrack, but might be costly).
-e-amusment for American audiences.
-Asian style cabinet for American audiences.
-Revive several Japan exclusive songs from Console such as Max (Period)., and Mad Blast.
-Better licenses.
and finally:
-Bring back the old announcer audio files (because MAX through SuperNOVA2 announcer was beast).

......shit.

Also, PLEASE KONAMI NO X4 vs. blablaoldmix. We had it, it was ok, nothing mindblowing, but now please do something new. (Except X4 vs MAX2 that would be decent)

Also:
-....Rolls?
-A new interface, X3 was X2 with other colors.

So you got bored of that interface. Tell me about that song wheel which lasted from 5thMIX till DDR X (that is 7 mixes).

good point, though i dont like X2, X3 themes, they feel somewhat empty.
What i'd like to see in the next DDR is good stepcharts, theres so many talented people in the ZIv community like Silverhawke ;0 <3
