BEMANI Event Information

At the AOU 2009 Expo the other day, The Bemani Top Ranker Play-Off event was held (For the full report, see here: http://www.konami.jp/bemani/info/aou2009.html%EF%BC%89).

Well, another event was recently announced at store JIASU Kami-ooka! (For more information, see here


It's a bit sudden, but it will take place on March 28th.

In addition to the event on stage, you'll have another chance to get a Bemani tumbler! For those who were not able to make it to the AOU event, this is your chance to wipe away your tears and take your revenge!

Near the Furu Furu Team

Hello, this is Rena.
Have you all been playing Furu Furu Party everyday?

The team that is developing the new Arcade game Pop'n Music 17: THE MOVIE is only about 1m from where we at the FFP team are!

Many people are playing this new game, and it's filled with lots of popular tunes.

But I hadn't had the courage to play it yet...

Until one day, when I decided to try it.

And one day, I saw the director of Pop'n Music, marasu-san, playing DDR Hottest Party with a smiling face. And so I decided to also play Pop'n Music with a smiling face.

You can find any kind of tune you like, and if you check soon, you'll see one of my favorite songs on there...

Hello, this is Rena.



Today, I'm going to try the challenge offered by the pop'n music 17 THE MOVIE team, who works right next to the Furu Furu Party team!

But first, let me give an introduction to pop'n music 17 THE MOVIE.



You see, these buttons here on the cabinet corresponds to lanes on the game screen. When a pop-kun comes down, players hit the corresponding button on the cabinet in time with the music!

The songlist is mixed with today's hits, popular songs from anime, and new Bemani original songs.

And surprisingly, it seems the songlist has over 700 songs in it. How amazing!

I saw some of the people from the pop'n music 17 THE MOVIE playing it, and I knew right then what my first song would be.

You guessed it! It's this song:

Yup, the NAOKI song from Hottest Party "will" has been put on the machine!
Of course, the genre is "HOTTEST PARTY".

But...it seems the song is still hidden, and you cannot play it easily.
How will I ever be able to play this song?!

But luckily, I had the staff with me, and they put in the special settings to allow me to play it. Yaaay!



I'll be able to play it as soon as I get the hang of the game.



So many buttons, 9 in total. When I get confused I just hit them randomly!



In the background of will, you can see this message that says "WE LOVE DANCE!!"
I think the staff was worried I would fail but...



Somehow I was able to clear the song!
From now on, I'm going to practice and try to get really good at pop'n music.
