Something I find funny as a Sonic fan, is people on Twitter are saying the new announcer sounds like Sonic and are specifically referencing either Jason Griffith of Roger Craig Smith, who both sound completely different lol.

It's on hold until they fix the issues so WORLD is JP exclusive right now.

I don't know what exactly to add on to anything that hasn't already been said about this version. As someone who's been falling out of DDR specifically, nothing in the launch has really encouraged me to come back to the game. There's some QoL changes that I like, like the speed mod increments being by .05, or some fun gimmicky additions, like being able to play with the Hou gimmicks, but as it stands, I don't feel like there's enough new material to pull me back into the game. I have no doubt that Konami will improve and add on from this launch, but since the dust has settled somewhat, I can say that this game feels kind of empty for me.

I'll probably transfer my data over to the game soon, then play smaller rhythm games I find more enjoyment out of.

I wanna say some honest things about the new style that goes against what everyone is saying. I really LOVE the interface! It reminds me of what Reflec Beat VOLZZA did in it's edginess and pops of color, it really stands out and I love the font's they use for judgement and the menu's it all really pops and it's so edgy and new and I just love the whole aesthetic, and I think DDR has really needed this change for a very long time, I don't care what anyone says, I love this interface, I was getting really tired of the Ace formula of design, and I think Konami did an A+ job on this interface. And I heavily disagree about past interfaces being more polished, specially comparing SuperNOVA1 and 2 which both lacked polish and looked very rushed out compared to World. The QOL changes are also really good and I think they're being a little overlooked because people are too busy being overly critical of the interface, I really feel Konami listened to player feedback and it's nice to see. Songlist-wise it's a tad small for now, there are more licenses than originals currently, but over time I think we'll see a ton more originals. Overall I give WORLD a solid 9. The majority I noticed hate the new game, but I'm in the minority and I really love what they're doing and I can't wait to see what songs they put in in the coming few years.

I've barely seen the game in action, but I'll say this: if they put in classic Sudden just because of BABY-LON'S GALAXY, they should give us classic Hidden as well.

I'm fascinated by how many charts are getting re-rated. Were there really that many "hard" 1s that they felt the need to bump all of them up?

I watched Yuisin's scroll through the 1s this morning and it seems like a lot of them were bumped 1 -> 2 so that charts like Beluga bSP are the new standard for a 1. Basically, 30 note, step every couple of measures-tier charts.
