Guess what? I won the DAR/daughters of the American Revolution Essay Contest (we had to write about the Stamp Act in colonial times) out of all the 8th graders in my school!

In other news, the powerball jackpot is up to 1.5 BILLION DOLLARS! Oh my god, that is a lot. If I won the money, after I graduate High School, I would just retire with that amount of money. I'd also get anything else I want, and maybe build an arcade with whatever is left over.

Looks like someone got a winning lotto ticket in California. Good chance somebody's gonna be ~$500 million richer soon.

Apparently it was some preacher dude who was talking about how the lotto shouldn't be played, but he played anyway and got rich.
(fb is loaded with all these fakes or whatever, but multiple are of this dude, so...I guess it's him)

TODAY WAS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!! First, I woke up to hear Alt sing キミとワタシのオンガク.
Then I came in 2nd in my school geography bee.
And third...I WON MY SCHOOL SPELLING BEE FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW!!!!!

My memory cards and Gone Girl soundtrack arrived today, even though they were scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but my blk. water 12-pack, which is expected to arrive today, has not as of yet, but the latest information on my order states that it is "arriving today by 8pm", so hopefully it will get here soon...
On the downside of things, my 256 GB SD card, which I bought with the intent to use it in my Nikon Coolpix S33, doesn't seem to want to work in it. I've quick-formatted and tried it as both FAT32 and NTFS, and I also formatted it in the camera itself a few times, but no luck, so I'm doing a full slow and clean FAT32 reformatting of it in Linux Mint and I'll just use it for normal file storage between my computers and I'll try and use the 32 GB Micro SD card originally for my Fire in the camera with an adapter instead. Hopefully that will allow me to finally use the 1080p video recording on the camera...
