DDR nowadays is just crap to me. I will always prefer 1st-EXTREME (and Supernova-2 to a lesser extent).

X2 amd X3 were good, in fact I found X2 having a better songlist than MAX.2 and EXTREME. 2013 started out well, but went downhill like IIDX Spada and Pendual. (thanks to hinabitter)

Yeah. DDR 2013-2014 only has two songs I can think of that interest me (Neko Neko and Din Don Dan).

I don't think a Japanese person can be a weeaboo unless I'm wrong.

Otaku is the term used in Japan for someone who gets really into a thing. Idol otaku, train otaku, etc. Weeaboo is used for people usually outside of Japan who have the "everything Japan does is amazing and flawless" mindset.

Believe me, DDR 2014 has quite a lot of good music, but the filler is what ruins it. In almost every DDR game, I like about 75% of the soundtrack, with about 10 or 11 favorites. In DDR 2014, however, the songs I actually enjoy are the ones that are my favorites. In this case, that would be Bamboo Sword Girl, Chaos Eater, Deadball De Homerun, Nageki No Ki, Magnetic, Over The Period, and AETHER. (Besides, DDR looks a lot less impressive to bystanders when you're playing some weeaboo-ish kind of song)

If I ever got a chance to try DDR 2014 in Arcades, my experience would probably involve me trying out 2 or 3 rounds with the new 2014 songs, and then I would get bored and think to myself why I spent so much money and D&B doing this when I could've played EXTREME and ITG3 at Nickel City for so much less.

Just found this old tune again. It's on Amazon and Spotify, and probably Beatport and iTunes as well, I'm guessing. I used to have an old simfile of a cut of it back in the days of DWI, but it got lost to time and I haven't seen it anywhere since, but I'm happy I did finally find the song itself.

Same...but make that 4 or 5 rounds...and I'd think to myself why I spent so much money and D&B doing this when I could've played Pop'n Music 20 Fantasia at Tri-County for so much less. But then again, Chinatown Fair has DDR 2014 already...
