The year-end charts are out, and there sure are some oddities (not that I didn't predict them):
-El Perdon (Forgiveness) is on the US Hot 100 year-end. This isn't odd in itself, except...it was never a hit. It sets a new record for lowest peak (#56) to make the year-end, and it managed to do so thanks to a staggered release strategy that began with the Spanish version, got it some latin airplay, began to fade, got sales support for the new English version, then got a streaming boost from the English video, then finally got an airplay boost from rhythmic and dance radio, ending up with a grand total of 30 weeks, when most songs get wiped out at 20.
-Carly Rae Jepsen has the top overseas song on the Japan Hot 100 year-end. Again, not that odd in itself, because Japan tends to favor idol acts, but not only did this barely blip (thanks to Justin Bieber *twice*) in the US, but it didn't even make the year-end in her native Canada!
-The Living Tombstone lands a song on the Dance/Electronic Digital Songs year-end. This is the first brony ever to make it to a Billboard chart, in addition to the year-end, and it's all thanks to the crossover appeal between Five Nights at Freddy's fans, Five Nights at Freddy's bandwagon jumpers this winter, and My Little Pony fans.

I had this very odd dream in a dream where I received an iPad Pro on my birthday and being super-excited until I found out it was 16GB, THEN I woke up from that dream and started throwing fits because it was another 16GB iPad that I had my whole life, saying that I've been wanting a 64GB one where I can use apps, play music, and browse the Internet whenever I don't have my phone around. (Even though my iPhone is already 64GB wth).
