Okay, this shit is pissing me off.

I want to upload 60 fps Stepmania videos to YouTube. YouTube refuses to show 60 fps if the video isn't 720p.

All of my programs (Sony Vegas 11.0 and Hypercam2) and my codecs refuse to work together. Hypercam records videos at 60 fps and 640x480 just fine. YouTube won't convert them. I want to turn to Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 11.0 to expand the frame height, but...

Tried that... dropped frames everywhere, even to the point a frame rate error is triggered.

I tried all of the codecs and all of them either fail, break Sony Vegas, drops too many frames, or their size is inexcusable (4 GB for a one-minute video?!).

This would all be avoided if Sony Vegas co-operated. In fact, it's a crashy piece of shit, it crashed many more times than I can remember, video clips go black, stretching audio crashes the program, it's just... I downloaded a patch a while ago, but it's reported it's just as unreliable.

How do I get around this fucking mess altogether? I'd kill to get a better Windows 7 friendly version of Sony Vegas, but I don't have the money....

I don't know if I want to do that, to be honest. I already pushed it with a friend giving me some non-trial programs. I mean, I could resort to that if my Sony Vegas eventually turns into a mess, but another downside would be losing compatibility with most of the assets made with Sony Vegas (including a number of 3DTextura assets).

Just took two hours to make the dumbest and most bizarre stepchart I've ever made in my life, and I'm really proud of it for some strange reason. My day is complete.

Today was my birthday, so my sister took me up to the local arcade and I got to have some BIRTHDAY DANCE GAME FUN. I played X3 and a StepMania convert-o-cab.

The only spot near me with a Stepmania Conversion Cabinet is Nickel City, which is still about 70 minutes away. Still, it's really fun to go there when my sister needs her ice skates sharpened at the shop up there.

Use the Arcade locator and search for DDRMAX2 7th Mix. You should find around 20 or so spots listed. Yeah, it's not common since most places upgraded immediately to EXTREME, but there are a few here and there.

On the west and east coast there should be some remaining. As far as the midwest and elsewhere I haven't a clue. I know Boomers typically has MAX2; one in Florida, in Modesto, and down by San Diego.
