Hi guys.
So I've been out of the Stepmania scene for quite awhile; what's the deal with Stepmania 5? (Just heard about it today lol). Still looking for a changelist from the earlier versions, but it seems to have happened quite awhile ago. I last used 3.95+, so... yeah.

If you're casual about things, SM3.9 is your best thing to use (or .95, whatevs) however SM5 has more advanced capabilities. However, I kind of think PLAYERS don't benefit from those capabilities and only CREATORS do, so it's your call.

The only reason why you should be using 3.9 is if you just have to use an old theme that hasn't been ported to SM5 yet. SM5 is just 3.9 but newer and better. There is no reason why you shouldn't use it.

It can go either way. I'm more experienced with StepMania 3.9, and I am very experienced with that one. It's good for fast loading and easier theme-editing (in my opinion). However, if you want to make your game look like a complete DDR Game (including the Training Mode feature, the Workout Mode feature, the Information feature, etc), StepMania 5 is your best friend.

Yeah, not sure how much I care about porting/finishing my half-done "SMMAX2" theme. I'm good as long as I can still have The Real Thing (B4 Za Beat Mix) as my menu music and use my custom Note+ skin that displays properly in Reverse and 6-panel.

I just play Event Mode anyway, so I'm more interested in what they did to Edit Mode. Thought I heard something about extra functionality? I read that lifts and infinite BPM are supported, but is the mode any easier to use in 5?

Good luck; my wife used to work at TRU. I assume it's part time for the holiday season?
For jobs in general:

-Keep a positive attitude at work, even when you're having a bad day. (Can be really hard some days, but it makes other people more willing to be around you.) Addendum to this, you'll learn by feel when you could use a break to cool down.
-For part-time jobs, be available to work whenever possible; keep your phone charged and your car/transportation available. (If you haven't been driving long, remember cars need more time to warm up in the winter and you should learn to check your fluids regularly.) Bosses like reliable workers because people will call out without notice and you'll get a frantic call like "Hey, we don't have anybody. Can you come in like, now?"
-Leave early in case something goes down; traffic jam, car needs ice scraped, forgot where you left your keys, didn't realize you'd forget where you left your keys, and so on. (I am terrible at this, but get in the habit while you're young.)

Surprised they're hiring full time, but that's good for you. If you have a lot of time on your hands you should consider joining the military, as you'll have a very steady job and put back a lot of money (and get to travel and see the world). You won't get to SMOKE WEED EVERY DAY but hey, you're sure to meet lots of chicks (or dudes) if you travel, and military will pay for you to get your degrees.

It's something to consider while you're young. (I already got out.)

I might START OFF with about 8-10 hours a week, for about 3 months...for the training I think? I don't know >.< it's my first time, and I feel nervous. Also, it's walking-distance from my house.

25 - Take a Bow (This song starts Black Holes and Revelations, and it's a belter. With a LOT of noise.)
24 - Feeling Good (Next up is a song known as one of the best covers of any song ever. To me, at least.)
23 - City Of Delusion (An underrated song from BHaR.)
22 - Endlessly (A song from Absolution with some real soul in it.)
21 - Space Dementia (Missing out on the top 20 is Sami Callihan's theme song!)
20 - Sunburn (The very first song on the very first album, Sunburn is one of the few Showbiz songs that still holds up today.)
19 - Sober (Showbiz's second song on this list is a really underrated one that no one seems to listen to anymore. I really don't know why.)
18 - Dead Inside (From the first to the last, Dead Inside is the first song off the Drones album. It's a very polarizing song.)
17 - Panic Station (A huge hit for Muse from the 2nd Law. Which has about three good songs on it.)

15 - Muscle Museum (The last, and my favourite song from the Showbiz album.)
14 - Hysteria (Okay, okay, I know it's low, but it'd be really boring if stuff like Hysteria, Supermassive Black Hole rounded off the list like they usually do. Speaking of Supermassive Black Hole...)
13 - Supermassive Black Hole (Bow, WOOOOOW, bow, bowbowbow WOW bow, bowbow.)
12 - The Handler (A surprisingly bass-heavy song. It's a shame that Drones got so damn boring after this.)
11 - Undisclosed Desires (The only song from Resistance is this song. To be honest, it's a real shame that this song ended up on such a mediocre album like that.)
10 - Micro Cuts (CUTTING the top 10 is Micro Cuts, often overlooked for being on Origin Of Symmetry and competing with songs like Plug In Baby. Which is absent from this list. Fucking sue me.)
9 - Hyper Music (YOU KNOW I DON'T WANT YOUUUUUUUU, AND I NEVER WIIIIIIIIILL, JUST-TO-SPIT-IT-IN-YOUR-FACE-HEY)
8 - Reapers (The best song from Drones. By far.)
7 - Citizen Erased (Probably the most requested song at most Muse concerts. How much longer can they ignore it?)
6 - Starlight (Another emotionally charged song from Black Holes.)
5 - Animals (Who'd have thought a song from the 2nd Law would get so high on this list?)
4 - The Groove (B-Side time!)
3 - New Born (A six minute thrash of a song.)
2 - Darkshines (My favourite song from Origin of Symmetry. You'd never expect Matt to scream like that out of nowhere.)
1 - Easily (A B-Side takes number 1? Gosh, what a hipster I am. This is Starlight before Starlight was a thing, with a fuzzy guitar solo that leads into a clean one. The best part is the guitar solo continuing into the final verse.)
